I think for a better retro feel, you might consider correcting the white balance, desaturating just a bit and then split toning yellow. Might give a more natural retro feel - as they just look yellow.

Thanks! They were too dark in colour and increasing the fill light didn't look too good. As B/W though, they look great.

Your photos need more contrast. They are very flat and dull.

3rd photo is very unclear because the subject in focus is the same colour as the subject that is out of focus at the top.

I don't have any recent "quality" shots but was encouraged to take this yesterday.

The boys were playing with playdoh and my eldest made a snowman.

My youngest thought he'd follow suit - think its fair to say that his effort makes me feel like tearing my eyes out.

Least he's trying. His second effort was a lot better but not as funny to look at.
