Download Windows 7 RC

Partners: If you have a subscription to MSDN or TechNet, you can download Windows 7 RC now. Otherwise, you can download Windows 7 RC starting May 5, 2009.

edit:

Information from Microsoft Online Concierge Chat:

Currently the Windows 7 RC has not been avaiable through the TechNet subscription yet, only the Microsoft OEM partners such as Dell, Siemens are taking part in the RC's this period of test.

Looks like they just updated that main page, but clicking the "Download Windows 7 RC" button still shows the same downloads as Beta. I would say give it until the end of next week to see if it gets into subscribers hands and hopefully leak for the rest of us.

oops..think mikey jumped the gun

who has a subsription so they can test this?

I thought I clearly stated that?

Hmmm.....2 weeks left for me.

Cant wait though....upgraded from 7000 to 7048 and planned to hold off a full reinstall until RC came around.

Anyone know if you just re-use your beta key for this or do you get a new one?

Suspect MS would want to give subscribers plenty of time to download at fast rates to avoid the same problems with beta. After all, they are paying big money to get priority over the releases.

I would assume the same keys should work as there would be no reason for MS to complicate things, unless they want to make it harder for us to use a leaked RC.

regardless u will still have 30 days to activate and surely the rc will be public by then, may 5, is closer than 30 days

It seems a little wacky that Partners can download it now but MSDN and TechNet Subscribers still have to wait until May. What's up with that?

What? It is for MSDN and Technet subscribers...

u didnt say u had a subscription

You must of edited your post. I did not see the last part..

What build this is ?

???? it's the final RC build, what difference does it make about the build? anyways as soon as it hits, it will leak before the public can download it. finally i will get rid of vista and stick with 7.

my question is, will they be giving us all new keys to activate the RC?

    • Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8, Flip 8, Z Fold Wide: Everything you need to know The ONLY thing I need to know is the price, which I know will be way higher than I (and most people) are willing to pay for a phone... so basically nothing here I need to know. PS: Nice job getting that Apple reference to a non-existent and unrevealed product as "competition" in there. Cheque is in the mail.
