I still can't figure what apps use Themida. As I said on the Themida thread, I've got every app I had installed on Vista now installed on Win 7 (7077) and then some. Never had any issues with any app.

Top of the bug thread:

https://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=757394

Since build 7077 all applications using Themida are instantly crashing with the following error message:

"Internal exception occured (Address: 0x0)" and some stuff about contacting the software developer.

Below a list of applications that were reported not to work in build 7077 (x86):

If you bumped onto another application that gives the same error, please PM/say something in this thread!

Thanks

OK. I see. Seems like an awfully small list.

In any event, this seems like an issue for Themida (or the application using Themida) to address. It's not up to Windows to accommodate

the app/drive/hardware. It's up to the app/drive/hardware companies to make themselves compatible with Windows 7. True?

xp is " :x " only the guys with "out of date" hardware still using it.

on my machine vista is performs identical like xp.

Ok, back to topic,...

win 7 is more stable and performant that xp ever was. (remember the pr? xp sp1 times)

Funny this section of forum along with xp section is more visited then Vista

No surprise there. After people found out how :x Vista is, they started avoiding it.

If the rumours are true and partners are getting it on 5 March, then we'll probably see a leak around then.

On topic, a reputable person on another forum stated that a MVP in a Q&A session is indicating that the final RC build has not been set yet. But that a conference and announcement concerning RC will be made on May 5th, with possible general release on 5/9/2009. He adds this is all speculation since MSFT can change it at anytime.

He said, that she said, that when EF Hutton speaks people listen. LOL :p

So are technet guys getting it on May 5th or is the general public getting it on the 5th?

As you recall, we TechNet subscribers got it ONE day before the public, big deal......

Keep in mind, they did not expect such a big turnout for Win7 beta testing. All you Technet/MSDN subscribers were already overloading the download servers by the time it was released to the public the next day and things only got worse over the course of the weekend. So yeah, you might have not gotten the priority experience a subscriber would expect. For that reason, I see MS releasing RC to OEMs early as a sign they will not underestimate the demand again and will release to subscribers probably one week before the public to give all of you ample time to get it downloaded at good speeds.

    • Microsoft should never have purchased anything after RARE.
    • Call of Duty: Vanguard, EA Sports FC 26, and more come to Xbox Game Pass by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe Microsoft is in the process of making some big changes to Xbox Game Studios right now, which might include studio shutdowns, but Game Pass drops aren't pausing for that. The second wave of June was just announced, unveiling another Call of Duty addition, the latest soccer game from EA, an indie road trip hit from last year, and more. While Microsoft said it won't put Call of Duty titles on Game Pass on the day of launch anymore, older titles keep landing, with the latest one being 2021's Call of Duty: Vanguard. Here are all the games that were announced today for Xbox Game Pass, their platforms, and arrival dates: Junkster (Cloud, XBOX Series X|S, Handheld, and PC) – June 16 Call of Duty: Vanguard (Cloud, Console, and PC) – June 17 EA Sports FC 26 (Cloud, Console, and PC) – June 18 Abyssus (Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, and PC) – June 25 RV There Yet? (Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, and PC) – June 30 Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4 (Cloud, Console, and PC) – July 2 Winds of Arcana: Ruination (Cloud, Console, Handheld, and PC) – July 6 From the bunch, Junkster is the sole day-one drop into Game Pass libraries of this selection. As new games arrive, eight will be leaving the Game Pass programs on June 30. Here's the full list of leaving titles: Mecha Break (Cloud, Console, and PC) Payday 2 (Console) Rise of Tomb Raider (Cloud, Console, and PC) Tomb Raider (Cloud, Console, and PC) Slay the Spire (Cloud, Console, and PC) Ultimate Chicken Horse (Cloud, Console, and PC) Volcano Princess (Cloud, Console, and PC) Unpacking (Cloud, Console, and PC) With June drops finished, Microsoft should have a new Game Pass announcement in about two weeks to reveal the first wave of games coming to subscribers in July. Already confirmed games for the month include the Halo: Campaign Evolved remake, Corsair Cove, SpeedRunners 2: King of Speed, and Mistfall Hunter.
