Cool, so this one that's on that nova thing is fake, can we nip this thread in the bud or something, before we end up with 200 posts that all say exactly what percentage of what torrent they happen to be at giving us the point by point reports as it progresses? Thanks...

It'll be out when it's out, people, geezus, go for a walk or something. :)

Bit lame really that the build is going to leak before testers get access to it. Microsoft have been shafting their testers quiet a bit of late

Oh, boo-hoo. Are you an equipment manufacturer that pre-loads a Microsoft operating system? Do you develop software for the Windows platform and pay the ridiculously high subcription fees? No?

Your name was drawn out of a hat. I fail to see how you're being 'shafted.'

EDIT: Doesn't matter, read the post wrong. ??

Anyway, to add something to this post...If 7100 is leaked them rest assured MS won't be happy at all, and neither will any of the testers that pay for things like this.

MS would be least worried for RC leaking ahead of the public release because there isn't much time in it. There is also nothing secretive or super buggy in that build to be concerned if it leaks a week early. Testers don't pay for testing these things.

Don't close the thread, it's not that long. We are all waiting for a *real* leak of build 7100 or RTM build 7115+. We already know for sure that those builds exist and they are in the hands of OEM's and TAP Gold. We also know that the signoff for 7100 will happen in few days. When that happens, either it will leak or be more broadly available via TechNet or MSDN. smile.png

I think you're right. MSFT might like to see a leak at this time. It would let them get some unofficial feedback and telemetry before they commit to a public RC without be 'responsible' for it. Then they could 'adjust' dates accordingly, since they have not committed to a date.

Why does 7115 have any significance? Won't it just be some less stable RTM branch build compared to the official RC?

That's because windows 7 betas are so stable already for a lot of people that it doesn't really need to be more stable for a lot of us and we rather have the latest code base.
