[Cancelled] Heroes Season 4 (Volume 5 : Redemption)

The ending was decent but I really thought the episode sucked. I haven't said that about many episodes but wow, what the heck was wrong with this one.

I felt the same way. It just didn't seem "good" until the last 5 minutes.

All of you have really undependable opinions. If you are offended by that comment, disconnect your computer from the internet. I thought it was a decent episode. Nothing spectacular, but the ending was good.

So yeah I thought last nights episode was very slow, and basically a filler episode, and like you guys the last 5 mins was the best. Question though..

Didn't Peter give up his "speed" last episode to pick up something else? But now he has speed back? Or am I lost.

:D

I can see why you put that.

Panettiere 'asked for lesbian storyline'

People just Assumed that he lost speed.

So an opinion has to be dependable? You have to count on somebody saying what YOU want them to say? Sheesh, sorry but agree to disagree on this one.

Awful episode, except for Sylar's return. Now, he shouldn't have any memories, since they are all in Parkman's head, right?

If they want to get the show back on the right track, they need to get Peter his original ability back and have him and Sylar finally throw down for more than 2 seconds of screen time. I hate the use of the abilities just to use them, but everyone has been waiting for that since S1.

I thought the ending was obvious. I felt that Millie was probably a lot like Angela in the fact that she's ruthless and gets what she wants. When Nathan told her that he had something to do with her daughter's death, and that his m, err, family had something to do with cleaning it up, I assume she was going to have Nathan killed. And to me, logic dictated Sylar would return. Not to mention that Parkman didn't show up at all in this episode, which meant Sylar wasn't in the episode, and I knew the writers couldn't help themselves but have Sylar come back somehow dramatic.

Another total **** episode. In Season One we all knew where the season was headed. There was clear direction, but they haven't had clear direction since then and until they get back to that, we're never going to have a good show again. It is suffering from the exact same thing Lost suffered from in Seasons Two and Three. When they got that end date, the show, in Season Four, became fantastic and only got better. Heroes needs an end date.

I remember seeing Sylar's head surface from the ground in one of the previews for Season 4 sometime ago, so I knew it was coming :p

Too many mistakes have happened in Heroes and they are now suffering. I enjoyed Season 3 better Season 4 so far. As for Lost, I didn't think Season Two suffered, the first half of the season was fantastic, it dipped in the middle and picked up towards the end. Season 3 was a good season too, besides Nikki and Paulo

Heroes has an end date. I doubt it will make it to it, though.

Oh it does, does it? I did not know that. Then if that's true, I would have thought that the show would get some sort of overall story arc then, but so far it doesn't seem like that it does. At least not like the first season. Unless I'm missing something.

    • If you have a TV in your living room, chances are you can probably just use the Steam Link app and play your huge PC in big picture mode, effectively giving you the Steam Machine experience to see if you'd actually like it. The good news is the Steam Machine can have it's drives upgraded. It has a USB-C 10Gbs port as well, so the 512GB drive could be quickly moved to an external enclosure and repurposed.
    • This machine could very well be a second gaming PC for their living room as a console experience. So we would have to assume their main PC exists as well; With that said, I have 10gb home network with a 2.5gigabit internet connection here so we tend to have more than enough speed to download games. However, we can't make use of the 10gb LAN using Steam's built in transfer tool because it always compresses transfers and that slows the transfer down to well below a standard gigabit port speeds, sometimes as slow as 200-300Mb/s transfers. While that's probably still faster than most internet connections anyway, if they'd fix the LAN transfer issue it'd be upto x5 faster even on a gigabit LAN, than simply dropping a 2.5gbe port on there with hopes of a few people having fast internet connections. There are solutions, work arounds, like using LANCache if you run a NAS... or simply copying the files over manually using a network share.
    • Samsung announces ultra-fast UFS 5.0 storage to supercharge mobile AI by Paul Hill Local AI models tend to run a lot more slowly than cloud services like Claude and Gemini; however, Samsung has just announced that it has developed its UFS 5.0 solution, which increases data transfer to speeds of 10.8GB/s, enabling faster storage and processing in mobile memory that has the potential to provide more optimal local AI experiences. Commenting on this development, Jangseok Choi, head of Memory Product Planning at Samsung Electronics, said: If you’ve tried local AI, you’ll know it can be quite slow, especially if using the larger parameter models. By developing this new solution, Samsung says that storage is evolving from just storing data to a core piece of infrastructure that supports AI computation, too. The Korean company said that UFS 5.0 integrates the latest embedded memory interface standard from JEDEC and achieves up to 10.8 gigabytes per second (GB/s) transfer speeds. Regarding write speeds, Samsung UFS 5.0 can reach 9.5 GB/s. Both the read and write speeds are twice as fast as those of the previous UFS 4.1 standard. Aside from being ideal for local AI, Samsung’s UFS 5.0 is more power efficient by 40% compared to UFS 4.1. Samsung achieved this by implementing innovations such as clock gating and multi-voltage technologies. UFS 5.0 is also ultra-compact at just 7.5mm x 13mm x 0.9mm; that is 16.7% smaller than UFS 4.1. The company said it will be bringing it to multiple devices in the future, including mobile, wearable, and extended reality.
    • A bit like the steamdeck, this probably isn't for you.
