[Cancelled] Heroes Season 4 (Volume 5 : Redemption)

Recommended Posts

I hope they don't cancel Heroes any time soon. The just need to go back to what made this show good. Action, suspense and kill off the carnies. they are trying to bring in too many characters at once. the need to get back to and focus on the characters that made this show great. I wanna see how hiro becomes future hiro.

I think networks tend to kill off shows to early. they tend to kill off shows that are new but put in time slots that are against emmy nominees and tenured shows. 3 good shows that got the axe too early are a good example of this

This show is in its fourth season, hardly being killed off early. It's because it had four seasons that it is in it's current state.

If it's Nathan, than so what?! He's been dead since last season, this was bound to happen eventually. They have abandoned his character who now serves no purpose, except being able to jump in and out of political power as many times as people are resurrected from the dead on this show. If it is him, it's not the major because I think we all saw it coming. Keeping him around has been grasping at straws.

The way it ended was really stupid to me though. If Hiro has more control of jumping through time now, why doesn't he just jump back in time to right before Charlie walks out that door? Or even just go back a little bit, freeze time, and move the "butterfly man".

That seems out-rightly idiotic to me.

Perhaps theres an extra twist to this, after Hiro does what 'Butterfly man' wants, it is a future Hiro that takes Charlie with him?

Still have to watch last night's episode and reading this topic beforehand is not good. *sigh*

Don't listen to the easily confused, short sighted, numbnuts on here :p

I loved this episode, it was good and opens many possibilities, I was really impressed with the good progress Hereos been doing this season.

WHERE THE HELL IS CHARLIE??!?! I DIDNT sit though this epically boring episode to have that sucky, twisted ending!!

As for Nathan. Let me think. He got burned during season 1 finale, by a nuclear blast of all things, he survived. He got shot in the chest in the season 2 finale, he came back to life, reason still unknown. In the season 3 finale, he is FINALLY killed for good, yet they put his mind on sylars body. So I say GOOD RIDDANCE.

So as most of you should know by now, the actor leaving show is Adrian Pasdar and what some media outlets called a "major death" has been confirmed as the final demise of Nathan Petrelli.

Yes, once again not really a death since Nathan was dead already, but it seems like there will finally be a battle between not only Sylar and Nathan and Sylar and Matt but Peter and Sylar (as Nathan). At the end of everything apparently Sylar takes over the body and that is the end of Nathan.

I am not sure why this had to take place at all but hopefully this will help strengthen Peter's character.

I know they are promising an "epic" battle again, but do not get too hyped as we know NBC is also dealing with budget cuts. Hopefully we get some good action and the battle ends up playing out well on screen.

Thanks to Knox Kramer and SickofSylar for the heads up about this article from SciFi Wire that provides us with details about these two battles via producer Adam Armus:

Executive producer Adam Armus danced around the subject during a recent interview. After he spilled the beans, he swore me to secrecy, and I promised not to reveal who was going to die until the cat was let out of the bag. Well, the cat clawed her way out of that bag, and it's now been reported in several outlets that Adrian Pasdar is the unlucky guy and that his character, Nathan Petrelli, will bite the dust before the year's end. E! Online's Kristin Dos Santos also reported that Pasdar learned about his character's exit not from a phone call, but from a script.

"We all know that Nathan Petrelli last year was killed, and his mind was put into Sylar's body and shape-shifted into Nathan," said Armus. "We made some commitments last year, and we've committed that there is going to be an epic battle between two characters and who's going to win and who's going to lose. That's something we've been planning all this year. So we know that someone has to lose."

"This whole Sylar-in-one-body-and-his-mind-in-another with Matt Parkman, all that's going to come to a head, because ultimately Sylar is going to win. He's ultimately going to get out of Matt Parkman's head and get back into his body," said Armus. Which would mean it's not looking good for Nathan. Somehow, even on a show called Heroes, Nathan's flying ability probably won't be a lot of help to him if he doesn't have a body.

"Once Nathan and Sylar come back together, there is a battle for the life of that body. Who is going to be in control? And whoever loses is the one that dies," said Armus. "It's the knock-down-drag-out 'Who's going to win this body?', and it's going to be between Peter and Nathan/Sylar. And Peter's going to be fighting for his brother." And obviously not winning.

    • No, size is not the only selling point. I did not even remotely say that. Your claim was that "building your own will be faster and cheaper". This is false. You cannot build something close to that form factor with off-the-shelf parts. You can build a Mini-ITX PC and pay more, or something larger and pay less. But these are different market segments. It's apples and oranges.
    • There is a default resolution setting in Settings > Display that can be changed with a click. You can also change the settings on a per-game basis. No CLI needed. Also, Steam has countless games that are not "[perpetual] alpha/beta games", so no need for the straw man. Plus you can use other stores as well. And console games (e.g. PS5) cost a fortune, which itself more than negates the price subsidy on the system, unless you plan on exclusively playing 1 or 2 games. It's true that you shouldn't buy a system that doesn't support the game(s) you want to play, but I think that's kinda obvious, and applies to every console as well as PC. I don't game in the living room and have no need of a Steam Machine, but there is a clear market segment that would find it useful.

RSS Guard 5.2.0 changelog: Added: Feed auto-fetch can now also be delayed while Feral GameMode is active on Linux and startup auto-fetch is skipped when GameMode is already active. (#2265) WebEngine builds can now use RSS Guard generated proxy auto-config (PAC) rules so article/web browsing follows per-account and per-feed proxy settings more closely. (#2273) Generated PAC rules now also cover related subdomains and use Public Suffix List data, so feeds such as feeds.bbc.co.uk can also proxy resources from images.bbc.co.uk. (#2273) Standard feeds can now define extra proxy domains, useful when article images, stylesheets or other page resources are loaded from a CDN or another domain that should use the same feed proxy. (#2273) RSS Guard now asks for proxy credentials when a WebEngine page needs proxy authentication and can fill credentials from the current feed proxy when available. (#2273) Network settings again include an option to ignore all cookies, which clears stored cookies and prevents new cookies from being accepted. Standard RSS/ATOM feeds can now individually ignore cookies while downloading feed data. Stored cookies can now be deleted from the Tools menu. Custom skin colors can now override the feed list article count color separately from feed titles, including a separate highlighted color. (#2275) Settings dialog can now search across available settings and highlight matching controls. (#1754) Standard RSS/ATOM feeds can now optionally be reported as broken when they are valid but contain no articles. (#2039) Standard RSS/ATOM feeds can now override the application-wide feed connection timeout per feed. (#1023) Tray icon can now use a custom background color and unread-count text color, with an option to reuse the generated icon as the application icon. (#1973) Support for more benevolent parsing of Gemlog entries (#2295). Article list can now show when an article was received by RSS Guard. (#947) Feed deep discovery now actually scrapes all links found in the website and checks if they are feeds or not. This greatly enhances usability of the deep discovery mode and discovers many more feeds than before. (#2306) Search boxes now show a small dot when the feed or article list is hiding some items because of active filtering. (#873) Articles now have a shortcut-assignable action to open the homepage of the feed they belong to. (#2060) Fixed: Parallel feed updates no longer crash when multiple update results are processed at the same time. (64cf521) Links in WebEngine articles opened from feeds such as Kill the Newsletter now open correctly instead of being swallowed by the embedded page. (#2272) Relative article URLs resolution was kinda broken. (#2282) Clicking article URL did not work when the URL had "fragment" set. (#2293) The default proxy setting now uses Qt/system default proxy behavior instead of forcing no proxy. (e0263ad) WebEngine article loading now keeps the current feed context, so feed-specific proxy credentials remain available while the article page loads.
