[Cancelled] FlashForward - Season 1

yes it is the second half of Season 1, it went on hiatus and returned last week and clearly it sounds like the shows concept doesn't appeal to you if you are not enjoying it...plus if you are just watching now you will need to go back watch the first half of the season but if you have seen them all and as I said not enjoying then stop.

The *concept* is a pretty good one. But to me, the problem is what appears to be stories unrelated to the central concept. Would the show be missing *anything* without Aaron (Mark's friend/sponsor) and his daughter - yes, it adds another storyline, but a necessary one? Yeah, I suppose we're gonna have a real *shocker* when Jericho is tied to the Blackout.

They had my hopes up with the showrunner shakeup due to the storytelling progress (IIRC), and with the two-hour return episode, but the following episode (Aaron/daughter/Jericho plotline) left me with doubts about this show being able to stay on the tracks.

Concept and subject matter-wise (and actors), I should like this show better than V, but V captured my attention better (more importantly - it held on to it).

I really enjoyed the Aaron + Daughter storyline. :\

I thought it was an excellent side story. I also think the guy that plays the father is a far better actor than Mark, so it's good to see it concentrate on him every once and a while.

I'm liking where it's heading. I thought the two comeback episodes were a bit rushed (in terms of storyline) and kind of silly (such as the ring), but I like where this is going. And I know I'm in the majority, but I really enjoyed the first half of the season. I liked how it was more realistic with just a touch of science fiction. Call it slow in terms of pacing, but whenever a TV show tries to explain to much, it fails (just IMO... look at Lost and V, for instance).

This show is now seriously kicking some ass. It is moving forward pretty fast and picking up from all the left over pieces in December.

Based purely on the show, it should be renewed.

Based on the ratings, then maybe not.

Rally behind the show and watch it! Lets make sure it gets a second season!

Just nit-picking, I suppose. I can understand the appeal - it's an emotional storyline (and played well). But, other than the flash-forward vision due to the main plot, it's far from original (yeah, I know, that's kinda a cheap shot).

I'm just not a fan of subplots that don't serve the main plot, especially in concept-specific shows like Flashforward and Lost (the love triangle subplots bore me). To me, those are more at home on the soap-opera type shows, where there is no specific concept other than the show's setting (hospital, neighborhood, oil-tycoon-family, etc.).

Just watched the last episode. OMG!!!!

"Hello Demetri, My name is Dyson Frost and i'm recording this message in 1991. Got your attention didn't I?!"

If that doesn't send chills up your spine i dunno what will!

The ending was jaw dropping. One thing that annoyed me about this episode was them skeletons. They'd been down there about 20 years and all the clothes and flesh had rotted away?! But the necklace was still there?

stuff like Necklaces can last for thousands of years, look at ancient graves etc.

My issue isn't that the necklace was there, but that it was the only thing there except for there skeletons. Where are all the clothes gone? The skeletons looked hilariously fake as well

Good point...i didnt even think of that!

Very good ep :D

My guess is, that D. Gibbons used localized versions of the technology used in the pylons to induce flashforwards on himself so he could see the future.. that's how he got his hands on Simon's blueprints for the towers and knew that Dimitri was gonna be there, etc.
