[Cancelled] FlashForward - Season 1

Excellent episodes. :)

Sigh, if they cancel this I'm going to fly over to America and punch whoever is in charge of ABC.

Totally agree. Its such a good concept and awesome show. It has the potential to succeed because its such a new concept like Lost was at the time it began in. ABC is screwing it over with the crap time slots, here in Australia the ratings were very good for this show and it was in the perfect 8:30pm slot. Also it's not the smartest thing to do such a massive break mid season. It's such a good show but will be canceled if ABC doesn't get their act together!

yeah :( the last 2 episodes were amazing, if it was like that everyweek more people would tune in!

two episodes in a row. Thats too much for this show. Eventhough I laugh a couple of times, when he asked to her (she stil lesbian, tho) for a beer.

And I insist, this show should last no more than 3 episodes, that would be great. The shorter the better. Now is all no sence, at all. How could you explain that the two heads of the most extreme terrorist act on history still on their body and not rolling. Killing 20 millions of ppl worldwide and no one from any country (even the victim, U.S., as usual) dont react againt them with the same effort that ended with the life of a "recent" executed dictator...

:pinch: If you don't like the show, then don't watch it. Why do you even bother posting? All you do is post negative **** between this and LOST. Go away!

Just waiting for them to finish it up now, doesn't it end at episode 16?

I might sit down and watch it then.

There's 22 episodes (according to imdb) but watching a season at a time is a good way (Y)

Its not the shows fault, something like this was looking from episode one that it was going to take a while to get there but still worth the trek. Its the networks fault for their lack of support and the fraking long ass break.

If they have to cancel one, I'd hope they cancel V. That show just can't hold my interest.

I don't know what you guys were watching but this show's not that great.

"You look dehydrated. You should replenish your electrolytes." Come on, who the hell talks like that? Just tell the guy to have a damned drink  There were countless examples of this and the whole thing sounds like it was written by children. Most of the dialogue between the FBI agents is ridiculously anachronistic and the jargon from the scientists just doesn't make any sense.

And why is it that all these shows have to involve some religious aspect? Is it really that difficult to write a sci-fi series without forcing an aggressive religious message down the viewers throat. As if the ending of BSG wasn't sickening enough, this show and V both feel the need to include overtly positive religious characters or plotlines. We all know where Caprica is heading too with all these visions of Amanda Graystone's dead brother. It's sad to see this nonsense being pushed by former ST:TNG writers too.

It wouldn't worry me in the slightest if Flash Forward or V were cancelled and they can take Caprica with them. OK, rant over

Oh, I forgot to mention that the product placement for Palm in these episodes was pretty pathetic too. Everyone has a Palm Pre, evidence in the form of a leather case for a Palm Pre turns up and they even have an app for tracking prisoner tags that runs on a Palm Pre (surprising that that's one of the 100 apps that are available for the platform).

I was also surprised to see that woman's Palm Pre connected to Sprint in Toronto. I'm from the UK so I may be wrong but that seemed a little unlikely to me.

Ironic that all this product placement comes a day or two after we find out that Palm's effectively doomed

Yeah I would have liked the episode twice as much without the douchebag window washer narrator.

Wasn't Phone-Tracking-FBI-Guy one of the terrorists in Sleeper Cell? I thought it was funny seeing those two together again.

We just need 'Liv to get in to FBI HQ with those two and it will be a reunion!

Yup.

I had to look it up, I had never heard of 'Sleeper Cell'.

Awesome couple of episodes. FF may not be as classy as LOST, but it sure as hell is interesting. The ratings are ABCs fault. ?Seriously, a half a 4 months gap? I am sure V is also gonna do miserably in its comeback episode.

I hope that ABC at least gives them the heads up in advance (if they decide to drop the show), so that the storyline can be wrapped up. When will the general public warm up to Sci-Fi?

My thoughts exactly. Had to motivate myself to watch it (because of the gap) but it was worth it! Hopefully the ratings will pick up and shouldn't be cancelled and maybe get a second season!

^ why you shouldn't type while being drunk. sh*t!

No

Wait this is still considered Season 1?

I dont know why but I really CAN'T get into this show.

I tried to, but... :(

Poor directing to me??

I like ALL the parts on Lost, 24, but not into this much.

This show Seems SLOW!

LMAO...

This is the same dude played Raiden in Mortal Kombat 2 right?

Wait this is still considered Season 1?

yes it is the second half of Season 1, it went on hiatus and returned last week and clearly it sounds like the shows concept doesn't appeal to you if you are not enjoying it...plus if you are just watching now you will need to go back watch the first half of the season but if you have seen them all and as I said not enjoying then stop.

    • Louis Rossmann suing Samsung over "990 Pro SSD warranty scam" by Sayan Sen Back in 2023, if you recall, Neowin reviewer Robbie Khan had a dispute with Samsung over his 990 Pro SSD, which was rapidly losing its health. After significant back and forth, the tech giant had finally released firmware to "stop" the issue. Interestingly, its previous flagship at the time, the 980 Pro was also facing problems leading to two consecutive sets of firmware fixes. Three years later, it looks like a similar conflict has now broken out between tech repair entrepreneur YouTuber Louis Rossmann and Samsung, as it has escalated into a threatened lawsuit after the company allegedly refused to appropriately replace a failing 990 Pro SSD that remained under warranty. According to Rossmann, a 4TB Samsung 990 Pro NVMe SSD purchased for approximately $330 less than two years ago, began experiencing major hiccups and issues, even though he claims it had been operated under ideal cooling conditions. It was installed in a RAID 1 array and cooled by a heatsink and dual high-speed fans. However the drive reportedly started dropping out of the array, exhibiting controller-level failures that eventually became not useable in any meaningful way. Rossmann said Samsung’s support process was marked by delays and confusion from the very start. After initially contacting the wrong regional support channel, he was redirected to Samsung’s memory support division where he submitted detailed diagnostics, logs, and proof of purchase. Rossmann runs a repair company and owns an ACE Lab PC-3000 machine, which is a professional-grade data recovery equipment. As such, he had been confident in his diagnostics. Samsung even seemingly acknowledged that later. Regardless, Rossmann claims that his initial support ticket was automatically closed before a full 24-hour response window had elapsed, forcing him to reopen the case and resubmit documentation. The controversy however intensified further from here after Samsung accepted the drive for warranty evaluation but later returned it with a repair report stating that the drive had passed its testing and that the SSD had been verified as functional. Rossmann strongly disputed those claims citing that his own independent testing on PC-3000 showed write speeds reducing to as low as 40–60 MB/s before the drive failed entirely. Samsung subsequently informed him that the SSD had been reset and reflashed, passing internal stress tests. However, the company also stated that replacement units were unavailable due to an industry-wide memory shortage and suggested that a refund process could be initiated if further testing confirmed the fault. Thus, to settle, the company offered a refund of $330, the amount that was initially paid by him to make the purchase. Here, Rossmann pointed out the seeming hypocrisy of the tech giant as in how no Samsung drive was apparently allocated for warranty replacements, but they were abundantly available for retail sales especially when using business accounts. As you can see, Rossmann is indeed right, there are Samsung 990 Pro 4TB SSDs on Amazon currently for $950 (shipped and sold by first-party Amazon US itself), and they are also available on Samsung's own store too, albeit for an even higher price of $1100. Thus Rossmann argues that Samsung’s inability or unwillingness to provide a replacement while the same model remains available for purchase at significantly higher market prices reflects a failure to honor its warranty obligations. He has issued a formal 60-day notice and says he intends to file suit in Texas small claims court, asserting that companies should face greater costs for denying legitimate warranty claims than for fulfilling them. • Was it too much to ask to show the icon in this article?
    • Frankly, I blame whoever is writing such articles. "A big improvement/update and/or new feature is now available to everyone! Also, use this unofficial tweak tool to enable it because it actually isn't available to you yet officially and might not in fact even be entirely ready or whatever, hence why it is perhaps not enabled for you*. But it's great and you should enable it!" I mean there's nothing wrong with sharing info about some feature you might need to enable via unofficial means, of course. It's just that these articles tend to essentially end up being two news pieces in one, and one of them tends to be a bit misleading. (*Yes, yes, the "it's a controlled rollout!" thing. Not a fan of that one either. The argument, not the actual rollout.)
    • Thank you. Will do. I read in the release notes that editor config might be at play here.
    • Actually, I think even Microsoft doesn't know how to control it
