to be honest i was really surprised it wasnt canceled before this season...i thought it was ok but nothing special...but this season was worth it! overall quite good :D

Yeah I thought the same of the first season, I almost didn't watch it past the first episode, but they have improved the show a lot. Second season has been excellent.

Now, this interview was just before last Friday?s second-in-row dip, but most other shows also fell that night and one rating does not a reputation make. As for Human Target ?.

?We have some decisions to make about that,? Reilly says, ?and Lie to Me as well. These shows are not being rejected. They?re doing a consistent and solid number. There are networks that would be happy to take those shows. We have to look at our shelf space.?

Translation: We?re going to decide about Human Target and Lie after we see our pilots for next fall. But keep in mind, Fox only programs two hours a night, so that?s a pretty crowded shelf?.

Human Target showrunner Matt Miller has admitted that the show's future is uncertain.

He told Assignment X that Fox has not yet made a final decision about whether to pick the action-drama up for a third season.

"As far as I know, Warner Bros and Fox have been incredibly supportive of the show," he said. "I think they genuinely do not know which way it is going to go. We are hoping [for a renewal]."

Discussing the ratings for the second season, Miller admitted that Human Target had "a really rough start".

"The reality is we premiered to not a great number [6.59m] when we aired in November," he confessed. "Then we had Thanksgiving the next week, then we had Christmas, [but] since coming back in January, every single week we went up [in the ratings]."

However, he added that Fox's eventual decision will likely be based on their pilot line-up, rather than ratings.

"Human Target has already done its run, so it is not going to affect anything," he insisted. "If it was based purely on [ratings], they would have had an answer by now.

"I think that for Fox it's going to be about how their pilots turn out certainly. I think there will also be some license fee negotiations and things of that nature. We won't know anything until May."

Human Target Cancelled!

It looks like Fox?s Human Target missed the mark for a third season. The network has also axed freshman comedy Breaking In.

The back-to-back cancellations ? first reported by TVLine?s sister site Deadline.com ? comes one week before Fox is set to unveil its fall schedule to advertisers.

Fox on Tuesday was also in the mood for some addition as well as subtraction, granting orders to series including the Bones spinoff and J.J. Abrams? Alcatraz.
