7137 leaked in both flavors

Recommended Posts

the build name has "fre" in it it doesn't have debug code in it except for the few extra feedback tools they turn on to catch bugs in the build.

however each and every build from 6519 was xYYfre :) so ye your theory is false. im not saying debug build doesnt have any special meaning, however noone saw one of the outside MS labs.

Большое спасибо :woot:

3.04 isos don't have debug code = os is faster

3.24 ones/versions are slower

rc 7100 and 7077 were 3.04

versions before 7077 as well as 7127 are 3.24

Good to know that.

It's not a theory, it's just the way they release builds. Free builds don't have the debug checks that checked builds do. :)

Microsoft releases the checked versions of 7 too. It's not one or the other, both are available. The checked builds are only to aid driver developers debug their own code though, and have little to do with debugging Windows itself and don't come with any private symbols (for obvious reasons).

So many leaks, it makes one's head spin. I shall stick to 7100 for now, cant be bothered with either the messing about of constant weekly reinstalling, or putting malware on my computer xD

MS employees who are not in the Windows team run the same publicly released builds (beta, RC) as the rest of us. You don't really want to be developing any code against a changing daily build.

That's what the file hashes are for, to prevent malware.

Thats the default wall?

Possibly... it would've helped if he had said anything when posting it :pinch:

Only half done here, so I can't say for myself yet.

To answer my own question, I don't think it is, i remember seeing a screenshot with winver open and the beta fish in the background.....why have they still not changed it.... :s

Neither default nor part of the wallpapers in general. So far I haven't noticed any differences from 7127.

Why doesn't MS use Windows Update to distribute the updates like they do in the build. Then they can be tested on a much bigger audience.

it's a custom wallpaper and not included in the build

As expected, the rumored changelog that a lot of us saw is not true. This build looks just like the RC. Changes most likely lie in improved compatibility and bug fixing now that Windows 7 is post-RC.

Thank you. Yeah, we all have our bad days lol. It just happened that today was the end of a bad week. Things are starting to look up for me though. :)

That's not the default wallpaper. Sorry guys. It's one I made.

Also, My sound try icon has a red "X" saying Audio service is not started but all sounds are working. Not sure if it is a bug or not.

I have been seeing it since build 7068 and that annoys me.. I think it's a bug
