Hum Posted June 5, 2009 Share Posted June 5, 2009 REDONDO BEACH -- Professional skateboarder Jereme Rogers is apologizing for his recent naked rooftop rant which disturbed his neighbors in Redondo Beach. Jereme Rogers, 24, shed his clothes and climbed onto the roof of his two-story house on Havemeyer Lane and Goodman Avenue around 6:40 a.m. Monday. At times, he was seen pacing near the 20-foot-high edge. He shouted and preached to the neighborhood before Redondo Beach police Lt. Jim Acquarelli climbed onto the roof and talked him down. Acquarelli says Rogers came very close to falling off the roof, and that such a fall would have led to his demise. On Wednesday, Rogers said he was sorry and that he took some psychedelic mushrooms that caused him to 'bug out.' Rogers, who says his street-skating skills come from God, was hospitalized for observation and then released. He was not arrested, but police say he may still face charges. The 24-year-old dropped out of school at age 15 and moved to California to pursue his skating career.
