Ya well, watch Perez throw Real into bankruptcy, next season Real won't even make to champions league quarters.

I think Perez is a barca fan, this is the second time he tries to destroy Real.

Hot damn that's a good business deal.

As a Man Utd fan Ronaldo done a lot for the club but his attitude the last few months towards the club has been dire. In a way glad to see him booted.

If Real tank out of the Champions Legaue next season though that'll be funny  Money can be thrown around all over the place but the team needs to gel and work well together to go places. It's as much about sensible buys as it is throwing money at all the "worlds best players".

Now to see who fergie spends that money on...

To be honest, he's undoubtedly one of the best players in the world and any team would love to have him in their squad, but I am honestly happy to see the back of him (I'm a Man Utd fan). He's childish, arrogant and he has one of the biggest egos I've ever seen in anyone. I will miss seeing him making a mockery of defenders and his amazing talent on the ball, but my god, I certainly won't miss his Olympic gold medal standard of diving. It's like he's been hit by a sniper every time someone gets near him. Good riddance I say.

?80million to spend on bringing in the next bunch of talent on Sir Alex's radar.

Oh and I'd laugh my bottom off and run around the streets stark naked if they win nothing next season:laugh::

i can be a magician with that much money too

I think you mean Lampard and David Villa. I read an article that Real was trying to get Villa so we shall see

lampard is not near the quailty of gerrard, all lampard does is get in gerrard's way in england.

- Real Madrid relied too much on "potentially good" players these last years. Well, it's true that they won 2 Ligas out of 3 but it really wasn't THE Real Madrid. Now Perez is just doing what Real Madrid have always done : bringing the world best players and letting them play in the same team. Last time Real Madrid did this they won 3 Champion's Leagues, so i'm not worried.

PS : About the ?80, don't forget we're talking about arguably the best player in the world, 24 years plus the fact Real Madrid had a pre-contract with ManU, so they would have had to pay anyway.

I can only dream about the potential talent we could get with ?80 million, I think Benzema and Ribery (or Aguero/Villa/Silva) are very good possibilties now. Personally, yes he is a phenomenal player, but no-one, absolutely nobody is worth more than the club, and well, it came as a shock to me because of all the build-up after the last few years it just came outta nowhere. But good riddance, I'll miss the guy, but he it was clear this season he was going to leave portrayed throughout the season in his attitude.

Ribery won't move to England, he has already said as much, Villa is on his way to Madrid as well apparently.

Losing Tevez and Ronaldo, as well as having to replace Neville, Scholes and Giggs will make for an interesting summer. Ferguson needs to get it right, as his last few big money moves (Berbatov, Nani and Anderson) have not really set the world on fire. Still, Slur has lost big players in the past (Stam, RvN, Beckham) and replaced them.

Maybe this nice ?80 million will go someway to clearing your ?800 million debt...

Man Utd = Real Madrid's feeder club.

i think it is a wise move really, he was getting a bit too (slight understatement) big for his boots and the team was almost too focused around him at the detriment of other players. who knows how he will fit in at real, i don't think it will be a walk in the park but he will have fun diving around i'm sure. ferguson needs to make sure he makes sensible signings over the summer and i think he probably will.

Oh hey raj long time no see :)

lol what's up?

It's going to be an interesting especially for man u fans. A team that already amazing is going to have to do some serious rebuilding over the summer, and fergie already stated that he wants his team complete in time for the asian tour (i doubt that's going to happen). So the next month or so we should hear a lot of news come out of them.

the Quote of the day!!! LOL (even if i'd change Gerard for Iniesta or Xavi)

these are great players but not what the team really needs, the have no constraction middlefielder, that's what they need, no some names, or they expect Gago an Lass to do so?

My feelings exactly. When a player thinks they are becoming bigger than the team they play for then the time is right for them to go, regardless of how good they are. United have some rebuilding to do, it will be interesting to see how they cope because I can recall their form dipping for a while when Beckham left

<snipped>

<snipped>, I don't think Gerrard is the best player in the world but he is the best midfielder in England.

Ronaldo is not a team player.. he's just too selfish.. he only played well when things were going United's way like in UCL semi final against us.. but when we beat them in PL and when Man U was in trouble in UCL final Ronaldo was no where to be seen.. except when he was diving, rough tackling or play-acting(whining, complaining.. or letting Xavi pass by and supply to Messi).. The way he stood far from the rest of the United team was priceless.. his body language was almost saying.. I'm not one of these losers :D.. I'm sure if things don't work out for Real he'll jump ship again even if he is playing well at that time.. United should be very happy with the deal.. it hurts when I think of the price we let our best player (Henry) go some seasons back.. That was a very poor piece of business.. we gave Barca a 50% discount..

Anyways.. lets see who Fergie brings in.. a lot of money to spend..

^^ Agree abt Gerarrd.. he's the best in England.. best in the world? that's debatable..

All I can say is - who will score for Manchester now? Not to mention the fact that millions of people only watched Manchester games because of him, like me. He is undoubtedly one of the best players in the world, he has the ability to change the game in seconds. His foot-work is second to none.

I find it quite fun watching him at most times, if he plays hard, he plays extremely well. He's not as big of a whiner as he used to be when I first started watching him, but he has quickly become a dominant player when he wants too.

Manchester will have to pull out the stops and acquire some players because they are definitely lacking in many areas. I don't expect Tevez to return either. Watch out for Real Madrid next year because with these two acquisitions they look poised to take the title from Barcelona.

That can be a worry for Fergie.. the load will be mainly on Rooney now coz Berba didn't do anything special and Tevez is waving them bye already..

No worries mate.. you can still watch him at Madrid.. time to order a Madrid shirt.. don;t think it will be number 7 though.. that's Raul's shirt ;)

He is undoubtedly one of the best players in the world, he has the ability to change the game in seconds. His foot-work is second to none.

No doubt he is talented..

I find it quite fun watching him at most times, if he plays hard, he plays extremely well.

me.. NEVER.. wanted to punch him straight in the face every single time.. the emotion being at its highest in England vs Portugal world cup match.. arrogant little diving ****** !!!

He's not as big of a whiner as he used to be when I first started watching him, but he has quickly become a dominant player when he wants too.

What planet did you just got back from? and abt him being dominant.. not against Gooners he wasn't.. we had him in our pocket 8/10 times ;)

Manchester will have to pull out the stops and acquire some players because they are definitely lacking in many areas. I don't expect Tevez to return either.

I don't think they'll need that much effort.. they have a reputation and can wave cash around now and get almost all the players on their shopping list..

Watch out for Real Madrid next year because with these two acquisitions they look poised to take the title from Barcelona.

Let's just say.. it will be very interesting.. depends on what defenders/holding midfielders they sign.. Barca to me has a much better team spirit and can therefore beat anyone in world.. Madrid are like the Chelsea of Spain except with a richer history.. we hear every year they spent millions and will do great.. but then they lost 4-0 and crash out of UCL.. I personally can't wait for Perez to run them into administration :p and everyone buying the 'best' players of the world from them..

Well with Kaka and Ronaldo already bought sn00pie and possibly Villa on the way, Real certainly do seem to be better contenders next season than this season. And with the somewhat enormous cash the side have come up with, they'll also probably sort out their defence too.

Actually he did wonders for us, it's Lorenzo Sanz that got us into a mess, IIRC.

The club itself shined during his reign, he's a good president, it's just that the way Real's management is built, it's hard for the Manager to do anything, hell - he can barely pick the players for the next game.

I hate C. Ronaldo with passion, I'd rather we didn't sign him, but what the hell.. I can appreciate the talent, and he's got loads of it.

Predicting the future is a tough job, I hope it's not your day job, though - because the way things are heading, Real will be crowned champions by Christmas :D
