Season 9 of Smallville is piling on the guest appearances and classic characters.

Entertainment Weekly has let us know that Julian Sands has been cast to play the role of Jor-El and will show up in that role in a November episode.

Apparently he showed up on Earth when Zod and the other Kandorians popped in during that very last scene we witnessed in the season 8 finale of Smallville.

Finally, a face to the voice.

To be honest, I would have liked Terrance Stamp to atually play Jor-El, the voices aren't gonna match :s
