Smallville Season 9

id tell you who it obviously was but knowing you and your responses you would question it to death.

The Granny whatever? Meh, I can't believe they will waste the main villain of the shows final season on such unknowns.

I wouldn't mind Smallville ending and a Superman spinoff coming from it, with Michael Rosenbaum of course.

He said he doesn't want to do anything but the series finale arc.

trust me when i say it was in fact granny goodness and her goons that attacked olly. im not saying you will see darksied in person on the show but he will be mentioned. and yes it is possible for smallville to bring him on the show but he would probably be in a human form because of low budget.

I was pleasantly surprised by the finale, the writing has been shady in spots this season, its quote refreshing to have an episode (albeit the last one of the season) to actually get in to.

Theories for season 10:

1. Return of Zod (isn't Calum Blue contracted for 2 seasons?)

2. Return of Lex (hopefully!)

3. Darkseid and his Agents?

4. Possibly Orion?

5. I think we've already seen Granny Goodness.

6. No more Chloe :'(

Where did it show Chloe dying? If anybody is gone, it would be Oliver and Tess. But I'm pretty sure Oliver is gone temporarily and Tess is brought back alive by Granny Goodness.

'Smallville' to end after next season

The next season of Smallville will be its last, it has been confirmed.

The final episode of the superhero drama, which stars Tom Welling in the lead role, will air in May 2011 at the conclusion of its tenth season.

The CW had been planning to announce the news at its upfront presentation tomorrow (Thursday), but Welling broke the news prematurely, telling the Hollywood Life blog: "Season 10 of Smallville will be the last season."

The series has been a regular ratings winner for The CW and its predecessor The WB since 2001, at its peak drawing around 9 million viewers. For its ninth season, the show was moved to a Friday night slot, where it averaged just 2.4 million.

Not surprising at all.

Though I am very disappointed already if Darkseid is the final villain of the series. Who cares!

Also, will they even touch on Kara again? And if so, shouldn't she have been sucked into the 'other world' with the rest of the Kryptonians?
