Well deserved? Really?

Did he beat the best in the world at his chosen sport?

Best Personality of the Year.

The amount of milestones Giggs has broke as of late and the loyalty shown towards Man Utd are huge things.

And quite frankly he has played very well this season for a 36 year old.

Chelsea have ruined football by turning it into a spending competition. Now everyone else is having to do these kind of deals just to stay competitive. Football is fast starting to become an financially unstable sport, and something needs to be changed.

Man City are the worst offenders, but what I meant was that the whole trend was started by Chelsea, before that happened, most clubs where far more financially stable. The guys in sports like Formula 1 are trying to take a sensible pill and cut spending, and it seems to me that Football is going the other way, it is pretty sad to see trophies won by spending, by soulless clubs like Chelsea and Man City, and with great teams falling from grace because they cannot keep up. I am a believer in all forms of sport that all success should be earnt and not brought.

Man U are a great example that a great team can be maintained on a sensible budget. Arsenal are a great example that a great team (less great, but still great) can be bought for a sensible budget.

And then Chelsea, Man City and Real Madrid are great examples that some people with too much money want to ruin the sport by outpricing every club below 4th in their domestic top flight :p

Yeh, it's weird because half of the fans think it's the Yanks faults, whereas the other half are convinced Benitez has had enough time.

Anywho good to see Arsenal win, at least it won't end up as a 2 horse race by Christmas.

It's the Yanks. Those who have a clue, know.

Look where our club was before Benitez took charge, and the progress we have made in the 5 years he has been here.

My little comment wasn't excluding City, I fully agree with you. I just think that RM's little spending splurge shouldn't go unnoted :p

Man United are actually in a lot of debt at the moment, I think they are second behind Chelsea in the debt stakes at the moment.

United's 700&something Million debt is not todo with our spending, it was brought in by the owners, we have been club that spends within its means, just our means are bigger than most - however our debt has been increasing slightly since we were bought by the Americans

ya

yay for Giggsy

Jamie Carragher has admitted he "prays to God" every night to help Liverpool win the FA Cup or the Europa League.

....

"I pray to God we win the FA Cup or the Europa League and we get in the top four, dust ourselves down at the end of the season and say `It hasn't been so bad in the end', but at this moment it is tough."

I laughed my @$$ off!

RM took Ronaldo away from the league, so that I don't have to watch his pathetic diving week in week out, in reality I should applaud them for that. Now if only they'd buy Drogba as well I could enjoy watching football again

Are you channelling gregb0b, or are all Chelsea fans obsessed with Liverpool Football Club?
I just hate LFC with a passion.Maybe my hate is obsessive.

Sorry I'll try to keep it low.

Nice result for ManU,we have to beat Portsmouth now.But even that seems hard in view of our last results :/

it was nice of ol Mick to do 10 changes from the game before :p

I still can't believe he did that

Don't you mean you can't believe fergie made 10 changes? Oh wait, I was thinking about the league cup game, which nobody batted an eye lid at.

You must have been talking about the Arsenal CL game last week, where they brought in all the youngsters and there was a massive up roar.

Surely your not taking about a game, just because a manager in the lower half of the league dared to rotate his squad. Especially when fergie was without 6 starters on his team sheet as well.

Premier League asks Wolves to explain team selection

The Premier League has written to Wolves to "request their observations" about Mick McCarthy's team selection for the game at Manchester United.

Boss McCarthy rested 10 first-team players in Tuesday's 3-0 defeat, with an eye on Sunday's match with Burnley.

Premier League rule 20, section E, says teams must field a full-strength side in all top-flight matches.

A statement read that when Wolves respond: "The board will decide whether any further action is warranted."

McCarthy's selection against United was branded "grossly disrespectful" by Wolves supporter chief Arthur Williams.

Williams, one of more than 3,000 Wolves fans in attendance as they lost 3-0, said: "The fans sung 'We want our money back' and that's understandable.

"Hopefully he will pick a full-strength team against Burnley and make amends."

Saturday's 1-0 win over Tottenham was the second successive top-flight win for Wolves - the first time the club have achieved that in 26 years - and lifted them out of the relegation zone, although they are now back in the bottom three after losing to Sir Alex Ferguson's side.

But McCarthy responded to the victories by keeping faith only with keeper Marcus Hahnemann against United, explaining afterwards that the physical exertions of the players at White Hart Lane ensured they needed a rest.

The second string went on to lose comfortably, leaving many Wolves fans bemused and frustrated, but chief executive Jez Moxey tried to justify his manager's selection.

The Premier League should mind their own bloody business what Mick McCarthy does with the team have absolutely nothing to do with them. Hell it's not like he shoved in a load of 16 year olds. The players he picked have been in and out of the side all season so they aren't exactly inexperienced plus we didn't roll over for them as we played fairly well till the penalty.

I was quite bemused and angry at the team line-up but i can sort of understand why he did it. We will soon see on Sunday whether he made the right decision or not

    • Doom: The Dark Ages Revelations expansion gives the Slayer a brutal Chain Spear by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe Last year, id Software released Doom: The Dark Ages as a prequel to its reboot series, offering a look at the legendary Slayer character during an ancient war between Hell and Heaven. Today, at the Xbox Games Showcase, id Software returned with a new announcement that unveiled Doom: The Dark Ages Revelations as its first story expansion. The expansion will see the Slayer being betrayed and cast into a "merciless purgatory only escapable by confronting haunting truths." Somehow, there is one ally in all this chaos seemingly attempting to help our protagonist escape his fate. Players will be ascending this prison and fighting plenty of new demons and abominations as they work to free the Slayer's followers. One new aspect of the expansion will be the Chain Spear. This new weapon is described by the studio as a "uniquely satisfying combat system that rewards mastery with a potent combination of power and mobility." Check out the trailer below to see the new weapon in action, where the Slayer is seen using it to even pin enemies to walls. id Software is also preparing a free update to all owners of Doom: The Dark Ages that will land alongside the new paid expansion. Dubbed the Ripatorium 3.0 update, this will add more customization options, an improved pass code generation system, and preset options for players diving into the game's arena challenge mode. Expansion buyers will also receive additional maps, demons, and new weapons to use in this mode in addition to the story levels. Doom: The Dark Ages Revelations expansion is out on July 7 across PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5 with a $19.99 price tag. Those who own the Premium Edition or the Collector's Bundle will receive the expansion for no extra cost as well.
    • Hyped for this. Replayed the remasters recently and they're so well done, and Crash 4 was great too. I trust this team to deliver.
    • Ninja Theory's new Hellblade game is action-focused and set in Purgatory by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe Ninja Thery has been building its award-winning Hellblade series since 2017, delivering Senua's Sacrifice and Senua's Saga since then. Today at the 2026 Xbox Games Showcase, the studio had a brand-new installment announcement featuring Senua again, but this time, she is in a version of purgatory, and the focus is on the action. Simply named Senua, this new entry is described as a "full-on action-adventure" experience, delivering an expanded focus on combat, puzzle-solving, and freedom of exploration. The developer says that it is keeping the same high production values and storytelling features of the previous games while giving what players have been asking for in the gameplay department. The entirety of Ninja Theory is now working on Senua, giving the project much more manpower than ever before, while also letting the team draw on its action roots from Devil May Cry and prior titles. However, the studio also confirmed that its previously announced Project Mara horror experience is no longer in development. Alongside snappier traversal moves, Senua will be able to take stealth and direct combat routes. She has access to her own sword, plus any enemy weapons as well, with dual wielding also being an option for most dropped melee swords, axes, and other weapons. Outside of melee combat, Senua will be able to use special abilities that let her alter the reality around her. The world is said to be about twice the size of Hellblade 2. While this won't be an open-world experience, the linear story will let players explore their surroundings further than before. The story of Senua will be set after the events of previous Hellblade titles, with our protagonist being stuck in her own version of Purgatory. The series' well-explored psychosis themes will return as well. "She’s trapped between life and death on a quest to reach the afterlife and be reunited with the ones that she’s loved and lost," adds the studio. "Her belief is that by healing the wounds of her life, she can find the peace that is the key that unlocks the gate to the afterlife." Senua is releasing on Xbox Series X|S, PC, and PlayStation 5 sometime in 2027.
    • Windows has had it, it's called camera frame server. I recall when it was first introduced in an early Windows 10 release it caused issues and there was a registry entry to disable it. Seems like they disabled it by default at some point. Windows 11 brought that toggle to the settings app (not just registry) a while ago.
