@Wazooty: i know what you mean. i've got an antec p182 case which is much quieter than regular cases and turned my fans to medium so its not too noisy. otherwise my brain would be pounding with all the noise from the pc. part of the reason why i usually keep the pc on the desk is so i can change stuff quicker and switch it on easily. :D the other reason is the dust from the carpet makes the airflow bad (resulting in higher temperatures).

however, i've had to put it on the floor to accomodate my two monitors. so i put it on little wooden blocks to keep it off the ground and hopefully slightly less dusty.

Is your Laptop broken?

No, I've been tinkering with Debian GNU/Linux 5.0 on it for the past two weeks and I tried to get the closed-source fglrx driver to install (because otherwise the graphics card would overheat) and that's the result. I probably should have taken another photo of it when it wasn't all screwy looking.

First time posting my Workstation here.

Just got these Desk Arms for all 3 of my Monitors, I actually bought them due to a review here on Neowin in the Members area.

Awesome setup...ive been looking for a arm for my 30" dell....

Did you buy a special Arm for the 30" model with it only being rated upto 20"

Thanks

Nope all arms are the same each one is rated for up to 30" usage. I bought all three from here: http://www.morecomputers.com/extra.asp?pn=45-214-026

They are great arms I totally love em, all the arms I looked at were really thin poles and looked cheap but these are really beefy and just look great. They are pricy at about ?110 each but I thought they were worth it and I know I'll keep them forever.

    • It saddens me when cars are such dull colours now. Mine is bright metallic blue and I absolutely adore it for standing out in contrast to that depressing backdrop of traffic.

    • lol it was a typo, fixed! haha imagine an actual 4TB Gen4 NVMe for $40 in 2026
    • Get over it, has nothing to do with my point.
    • I really don't like these rounded corners and huge borders in the viewport. They just waste space without anything in return.
