[Official] Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

Recommended Posts

See you say that now but gamers have memories like a dead goldfish. Mark my words next year when Modern Warfare 3 comes out you're all creaming your self on how good the SP will be and how amazing the MP will be too. :p

:p

SF4? Really?... Really?

Don't get me started on MW2 winning it. It does entertain me that the video is getting down voted (3.4 atm) by the mouth breathers though. :D

Jeff Gerstmann over at Giant Bomb just named this his favourite game of the year (video here). At first I was a little shocked, but the rationale he gave was understandable. Even if you take single-player out of the equation entirely, the multiplayer is good enough (although judging from this thread, that's clearly a matter of opinion ;)) to warrant the praise it's getting. Although that doesn't change the fact that they should have given this an open beta. I think almost everybody can agree on that.

Someone?s apparently found some hidden multiplay modes in Modern Warfare 2. One of them involves capturing a nuclear missile before the other team.Watch a supposed video of it here (thanks, reask), overlaid with obvious ranting about how this stuff?s probably paid DLC already embedded in your game code.An explanation from the apparently bombed ModernWarfail2.com, via EvilAvatar:The first gametype ? ?gtnw? ? is Global Thermonuclear War. To play, simply capture the objective: a nuclear bomb. When captured, the bomb detonates? The second gametype ? ?oneflag? ? is One Flag CTF. To play, capture the flag in the middle and bring it back to your base. The third gametype ? ?vip? ? is VIP. To play, defend the VIP. Or, if you?re on the other team, kill the VIP.These gametypes were only tested on Afghan and Favela. They may not work for all maps.? Rumour, obviously. Although it doesn?t much look like it

Is anyone else really ****ed off about this? Putting DLC content on a disc then charging to unlock it?

DLC's are getting out of hand. Shame on you IW and Microsoft. Give us what we paid for. DLC's should be free considering a game is 60 dollars now.

And how do you know they aren't just going to release this as a playlist update for free? Like they did with Hardcore mode etc. back in MW1?

If they do I'll retract my statment and feel like an ass. But I think it's DLC content.

They have a track-record of releasing game-modes for free, only maps are DLC and they have already announced those - So why not give them the benefit of the doubt? Why must it be doom and gloom scenarios based on no previous history at all, quite the contrary actually.

When will people stop using the word "Fail" so much.

Oh come, on don't jump the gun. I don't know why on earth they would need to do that, or why anyone would think they would.

I think that bellend Bobby doesn't have the word free in his vocabulary. If there is money to be made he's first in line and IW don't have the backbone to say no.

Tech Star that just made my day, that is hilarious.

Edit: Looked at the comments on that video and saw that Sethos is in a nice grammar argument while swearing at others. :p

I am glad that it did, as it also made my day! :D I hate campers and this is what they deserve. I am going to try it the next time I am behind a camper. :D I will be reporting back my results.

I followed that video to Youtube and clicked on a "Similar Result" video in the right and found an even funnier one.

    • (macOS) Screen zoom was broken for me in beta 1 and it's now working properly in beta 2. In terms of performance and UI design/consistency, these betas are already much better than Tahoe.
    • Less powerful than a PS5 at twice the price! I wonder if they use that for marketing? Totally DoA.
