[Official] Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

What's really beginning to annoy me are people with grenade launchers- they just stand there on the map somewhere firing blindly and an explosion near you are you're dead. It's friggin' annoying, and when you watch the Killcam it's even worse because they've just fired it over a building. UGH.

Also people who use the auto aim are just annoying- it's on with me but I just forget it's there and just force the crosshair away from the guy it's aiming at. It's annoying more than anything when you know what you're doing a little bit.

I've just got my Akimbo ranger too, kills with one shot so now I'm gonna get my own back on society by killing everyone with 'em.

If it was so easy to use everyone would use it. The goal of the game is to win. To dismiss it as no skill is ignorant. Just because you were able to figure it out does not make it easy for everyone. I see so many people in Hardcore trying to use it with no effect. It has a very needed place in this game. There are many "blind" spots in the game that the weapon was designed for. Being able to put your grenades into these spots can make or break a game. Take Estate for instance. Who ever spawns at the top will take the house and it is easily defended. I am able to but rounds into the windows easily, out of site and uproot the enemy. With scavenger equipped I can easily lock the house down from a safe distance and eventually take the house. Running and random fire is luck, using it how it was meant to be used is skill.

And I agree, the game is very arcade and nowhere realistic but once you get past that and except it for what it is, it is very fun. You want realistic try Arma 2.

No they wouldn't because it's boring and requires no skills, people would rather use a real weapon.

Oh and check this thread https://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=746808 See who has the most posts in there by a large margin.

I feel you have been hurt in the past life by someone owning you with a tube. My thoughts and prayers go out to you, now Im off to own some more noobs with my noobtube and make them cry and quit.

I feel you have just been very hurt because you have a hard time getting kills without your beloved noobtube and now you feel the need to defend it

Ahhhh I think your feelings are hurt. Most people that knock something only do so because they have no clue how it works, how to use it or are afraid of it. Which one are you? There is my gamer tag, come join me, ill school you. I play on the weekends, not allot of time during the week.

Arcade isn't the word I'd use. Casual friendly is a phrase more apt to what MW2 is. Arcade implies there is some kind of learning curve. ;)

For some it is blind fire but for me I know all the spots on the map, the angle to shoot it and where it is going to hit. Especially at the beginning of a Hardcore TM DM. Every map there are reference points (Bushes, tops of buildings etc...) that will guide your shot. I get more 2-3 kills at the start of the game then I can count. Most people that get tubed at the very start of the game rage quit, makes for a fun game. I enjoy making the pansies cry over a game.

The only learning curve in this game is to learn the maps, after that it is to learn what I can do to make the pansies rage quit. The best part is I do not even use a mike so the haters talk all this smack and get no response from me, well except my score. Remember everyone, it is a game. As long as someone is using an aspect of the game that EVERYONE can use then deal with it or go away.

You seem to be getting a lot of enjoyment from making the 'pansies rage quit', don't you?

Oh yes. Especially the 12 year old potty mouths. Those are the best. Some of the hate messages I get are awesome. The more the cry, the more I turn it up. Nothing will make a team quit faster than Akimbo P90's running through their whole team. Of course if it is a cool server with cool people then that is a different story but I am having a harder and harder time finding a server that does not contain cry baby b*tches in it.

Sorry what? :/

That is the only language I know, seems pretty straight forward to me.

He's a perfect example of a typical Live-Tweener who likes to act tough, be an ass and ruin it for everyone else. No offence but it's almost scary how textbook it is.

Ahhhh one of my victims. If you only knew how old I was and what I do for a living ;) I pride myself in making the quitters quit, something you have already admitted too. When the going gets tough you get going, sad individual.

Can you tell this guy is a MW2 regular on Xbox Live?

Unlike you who quits as soon as you start losing, what else to you quit at, life? Dont knock the people that are better than you. With a few typed words you are ready to quit here already, shhhhsh, get real. You sound like the kid on the play ground trying to get those around you to agree with you. Dont pull others into your misery. Bottom line you get owned in the game, can not take it and quit. Your own words.

Okay now I'm lost

Lol. Just lol.

So pr0... Cant compete with that

To play a game simply to ruin the game for others is a bit sad really. I would even say as bad as the hackers that I get to enjoy banning every day :)

How is that blind firing? It's precision.. granade launcher is more difficult then people think. On close range it doesn't explode, you have to have a feel to fire at a proper distance too. It requires skill. That's why people complain. Those who don't know how to use it get killed by it.

I have no issues with other people using it. It's almost on any assault rifle.

I don't get the whining from people. Using exploit and running with a glitchy care package requires no skill and that's BS. Using a granade launcher does and it's a valid part of the game. You can use danger close but you sacrifice stopping power or other perks. It's about a choice and how you play. Launchers can misfire too, so it's definitely not all peachy.

I find it funny, because I don't get what people would like others who use granade launchers to do? Run with a pistol only so you can kill them easier? That's the point of the game. You have the same tools at your disposal. Use it.

The only issue in the game is care package glitching and now nerfed 1887s. There's always someone who finds it awesome to go and run with a care package glitch. And then when I use it to kick their ass they all start crying.

When you fire blindly over walls or into the air (no matter how precise you're aiming may be) you didn't have anyone in your sights that you were aiming for. Basically just a "they are over there direction" guess. That's not skill, sorry. Twist and turn it how you like, but if you're in the real world you shoot to kill. Not shoot and hope for a kill that ends up being 50/50.

As for people who complain about it because they can't do it. Rubbish. I can do it I choose to, but I don't. I much prefer cooking a grenade and perfect my throwing so that it explodes on impact/landing. Something I'm pretty damn good at if I do say so myself. In other games it's pefecting sticky grenades (Y)

I can buy that but there are many instances where I haven't seen the person myself but either know they are there because it is the beginning of the game or saw rounds coming from that direction or someone calls them out. I also know many people just fire, like the javelins. I will say this, in the real world (been there) sometimes you know the enemy is in a building, you may not see them, you put rounds on them, end of story. Sometimes it is a 50/50. The days of looking your enemy in the eye have long been gone. But this game is far from real world and should never be compared, I mean really. How can I pick up claymores off a dead body if he never had them????? And Akimbo, really. Unfortunately too many people forget this is a game and get all bunged up over it, those are the ones I prey on.

You can spend the rest of time justifying that the weapon is precise and requires skill til you are blue in the face. But it'll always be called noob tube and for good reason.

The only time I ever use them isn't even in MW2. In fact I think the only game I use them is Battlefield where I'm destroying vehicles or walls.

dude, its a game. Relax, its there to be enjoyed. And for your conversation with Sethos, just chill out man, its not helping anything.

on a side note in the comment which I quoted, you wrote that you had "been there" in the real world, are you implying that you are a soldier or in the army or something along those lines which involves shooting the enemy in buildings? If so, sounds pretty amazing, tell us more!

With DM & Seth here. The tube is a joke. It should have an arming range ala BF2. But no it's the only gun that can be used at any range and still remain lethal even when you're not on target. Much like World of Warcraft the game has been dumbed down for 'joe pugger' but unlike WoW it doesn't have a hard mode with additional rewards! :(

Ah morons in jeeps who think they can turn you in to road kill! :D
