[Official] Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

Does anybody consistently use the AK47? That was the only gun I used in the original MW but I hate how it is level 70 in MW2. Each time I hit level 70 I prestige so I never get to use it.

tried it yesterday for the 1st time. cant see why anyone would pick the ak47 over the scar to be honest

They were replaced with a lot of other tard-weapons to use

i have claymores on all my classes... except 1 sniper class and 1 famas class

what would u consider a tard alternative to claymores?

Maybe it's just me, or maybe the maps are more open but I have barely seen a claymore, like...maybe twice!! :s

They used to be EVERYWHERE in COD4, what happened?

They're more widespread in Hardcore, it's because it's Equipment and not a perk. It replaces Grenades.

Then don't prestige? I never understood the whole prestige thing...

I used the AK alot, I find it very good.

Yeah I don't see the point in Prestige, having to unlock everything all over again seems stupid to me. Plus I love the AK, I use it a lot. That or the SCAR. More often I'm using an SMG class though like the UMP45 which is a great weapon silenced!

Back in the first Modern Warfare, I constantly told myself I wouldn't prestige - I then went prestige. I told myself I wouldn't do it again but I did.

It was actually quite nice to be 'forced' to use some of the lower level weapons so you didn't have a ton of choice, I was picking new weapons every other round

because I couldn't decide. Plus, it also makes you feel like the XP is going somewhere, gives you that extra drive to do some special moves etc. I couldn't stand watching my XP

going nowhere.

I think prestige is awesome and a fantastic idea.

Pretty much my exact same view and experience (Y)

I never prestiged in COD4, just didn't feel like it.

I do prestige in MW2 though. It's honestly not that bad.. If you do challenges, you can easily get back up to higher ranking with any weapons you usually use. I prestiged again the other night and played a couple of hours (barely) and was already back up to a 34. Cycle through your weapons and rank them up, do your challenges and rank up. ;)

Prestiging ain't got nothin' on me.

Which one is pointless? Prestigeing or not prestigeing?

Answered. Why sacrifice all your unlocks and everything except for titles and emblems for a shiny new rank icon?

UPDATE 11:20 PM: It turns out Activision may have showed their hand in this matter earlier today.

In an SEC filing made earlier today, Activision cited a human resources investigation into "into breaches of contract and insubordination by two senior employees at Infinity Ward."

Based on the information we currently have, at least one of those employees may have included Infinity Ward CTO Jason West. It's possible Vince Zampella is the other unmentioned employee.

"This matter is expected to involve the departure of key personnel and litigation," read the Activision's filing. "At present, the Company does not expect this matter to have a material impact on the Company."

Unlucky. Dance with the devil, expect to get burned.

A poster on Kotaku said that their royalty checks are due to be paid soon. Pretty damn low if true. No idea if it's true or not..but with Activision anything is possible.

Yeah it's low, could be a cloud with a silver lining. Hopefully they can kick-start something new and refreshing without having the sequel crazy Activision on their heels.

I was thinking about that royalty cheque thing. It doesn't really make sense unless Activision is wanting to be sued. Technically they could falsify sales records and risk the wrath of the government, but really, just to save maybe a couple million? I really doubt they would do it.

Also this whole publicity stunt thing makes no sense either. It won't dull the sales of Bad Company 2, nor will it encourage sales of MW2.

The only thing that does make sense is IW wanted to make something new and Activision, being the sequel company they are, didn't want them to.

Maybe Jason West got sick of being Bobby Kotick's lapdog. One of the reasons that these guys formed Infinity Ward in the first place was to get away from being shackled by EA. Out of the frying pan and into the fire?

    • Microsoft's fast coding model MAI-Code-1-Flash comes to Copilot Business and Enterprise by Karthik Mudaliar Microsoft’s recently announced MAI-Code-1-Flash model is now generally available to GitHub Copilot Business and Copilot Enterprise customers. With this support, organizations can have more centralized policy controls and billing while finally being able to use Microsoft’s lightweight, first-party coding model. According to GitHub’s announcement, Business and Enterprise plan administrators must enable the MAI-Code-1-Flash policy in Copilot settings before developers can access the model. Microsoft says that MAI-Code-1-Flash is for fast, iterative coding work rather than the most demanding architectural or debugging tasks. GitHub’s official model comparison page says that the model is great for "general-purpose coding and writing," while it excels at fast, accurate code completions and explanations Microsoft introduced MAI-Code-1-Flash on June 2 as part of a broader collection of internally developed MAI models. GitHub subsequently expanded support to Copilot CLI, the Copilot cloud agent, GitHub.com chat, GitHub Mobile, Visual Studio, JetBrains IDEs, Eclipse, and Xcode, but said support for managed Business and Enterprise customers was still on the way. In Microsoft’s own benchmark testing, MAI-Code-1-Flash scored 51.2% on SWE-Bench Pro, compared with 35.2% for Anthropic’s Claude Haiku 4.5. Microsoft also claimed that the model used up to 60% fewer tokens on SWE-Bench Verified. Do note that these are vendor-run results rather than independent measurements. The model is billed at provider list pricing under GitHub’s usage-based system. GitHub currently lists MAI-Code-1-Flash at $0.75 per million input tokens, $0.075 per million cached input tokens, and $4.50 per million output tokens. For organizations, the main incentive to use MAI-Code-1-Flash is likely to be efficiency rather than maximum capability. A smaller model that responds quickly and limits unnecessary output is quite useful for repetitive agent tasks at scale, especially after GitHub Copilot’s move toward usage-based billing. The "Flash" model is recommended for fast work and not necessarily for huge repositories with loads of context. It's better if teams compare their output with other larger models, especially if they're working on security-sensitive changes and complex, multi-file work.
    • yes AND no the "original" or plain/normal Optiplex 7010 won't be getting any more new firmware updates BUT the Optiplex SFF/SFF Plus {small form factor}, Micro/Micro Plus & Tower/Tower Plus 7010 editions DO get new updates such as this new one   and here are similar guides from the Dell web site for Dell systems: https://www.dell.com/support/kbdoc/en-us/000390990/secure-boot-transition-faq https://www.dell.com/support/kbdoc/en-us/000347876/microsoft-2011-secure-boot-certificate-expiration
