Ah, okay, I didn't know you could do that. However, for something like this, I recommend the USB stick option, for the reasons mad_onion has just given.

i haven't tried vlite with win7 AIK, but it worked perfectly with vista AIK even to create a win7 iso. if you install a vlite 1.1.6b & then upgrade to 1.2 version you do not even need wim filter (AIK) as it is included in 1.1.6b version. tehn you can just use vlite to create iso.
