What's next with MSN Messenger 6?

Anybody else notice the cool backgrounds you can DL for it? When you have a chat window open, click Backgrounds, Create Backgrounds, then Download More Backgrounds.

Some kinda groovey ones there, XP-ish landscapes, and some cool animal textures...

reaper1576: Go to the Tools menu, the option to add your own is there. You can use any image format - it will resize it however.

So its best to design an emoticon to the pixels it sizes it down to - i.e. 19x19 pixels.

I got a quick question for those using msn 6.0, in the bottom right hand corner of msn6 i got the msn logo, but this logo isn't the original one , how can i restore the original logo?

i found a problem with msn 6. when u invite people more than 10, the display picture of who u r talking with on a righthand side will disapear or move down

google resource hacker...download it..then open up the msn messenger with it...go to change icon...search..its under a tab..only a few there..change it with the one you have there...

Is there anything just to get rid of the stupid tabs on the left pane for MSN6? I find I NEVER EVER use those stupid tabs to begin wit\' UTTERLY USELESS. I can use that extra space horizontally for the stupid ignorant people that make long ass names that stretch across the screen. Any help appreciated.

Trillian does not yet have tabbed chating aloth I bleave it is going to be in the next release.

what? i suggest go check it out, they have had that since 0.7x or earlier. They call it "containers" which allow you to put n chats in one window and easily switch between them.

It's the only missing feature that msn messenger would need to make trillian and plus obsolete to me

Containers and tabbed IM's are diffrent things.

use resource hacker...open up msnmsgr.exe...then find and replace that icon that looks like the one in the sytem tray...replace with the one you have..sorry if my instructions are too vague...

Hey is anyone else having problems with the little pics not showing up on their chat box??? both myself and my buddies are all using msn 6 and all the relevant boxes are ticked to show and send the pics but in a conversation window niether of us can see each others pics,,,,,is it because microsoft have some way of knowing your putting up nudie girl picz??? hehe

i think if they are bitmaps...(.bmp) they do not work with msn6. at least thats whats been happening with me
