The Walking Dead (Season 2)

This episode was lacking everything until the end. I didn't like how the wife just ran off alone, and crashed her car in the most dumbest of ways. But the end with Rick just gunning those 2 guys down so quickly... that showed some great change in his character, and is going to set up a lot for the rest... The old guy will see how they need to be a little more tough and expect things to be bad, and how lucky they were to actually have a group of people find them who are at least as good as good will get right now.

Very eager to see next weeks episode.

Can honestly say I wasn't quite expecting Rick to stone cold murder those two guys.

The one behind the bar was reaching for his gun. Self defense.

I didn't like how the wife just ran off alone, and crashed her car in the most dumbest of ways.

Most dumbest, eh?

Yeah, it was very contrived. Rick knew before he left that Beth was catatonic. Why did Laurie suddenly feel the need to run after him? Especially since she was telling him not to go in the first place? Didn't make any sense.

And then the crash. She wasn't going very fast, braked before she hit the walker, and then for some reason seemed to speed up again as she went off the road. Would have made more sense to have her try to avoid hitting something, like a deer or horse crossing the road. But I think that walker she hit is going to crawl up to the car and try to get her in the next episode.

i think it was a great episode overall.. a lot happened, which will bring you back to watch some more next week for sure.

Didn't expect that form Rick either... but i guess he starting to understand that this is not the normal world he used to live in with rules and laws... Now it's all about survival.. his wife tho is just plain stupid lol

Technically it wasn't murder, the dude behind the bar drew his weapon and Rick nailed him. He is a cop after all, he knew what he was doing.

Side note, during that final scene, Glenn called them walkers and the guy who got shot first (I can't remember his name) laughed that they called them walkers and I think he had another name for them, but I couldn't catch it. Did anyone else hear what his alternate name for the walkers were?

The mid-season premiere was just ok. Most of the episode was good, but there was one incredibly dumb part, and one incredibly awesome part.

I absolutely did NOT like Laurie's decision to go get the guys in town. There was absolutely no reason for her to do that, and it's this kind of BS tv writing that irks me. There are so many issues I have with her decision, but I won't get into them here.

The last scene when Rick kills the two guys in the bar was really intense, and it was easily the best part of the episode. When I first saw Michael Raymond-James, I was really excited. I was hoping for him to stay around for a few episodes because he is a great actor. But as the scene went on, I had a feeling it was going to end the way it did. But the ending was awesome, because we got to see Rick as something different than the heavy-conscious, brooding hero than he's kind of developed into.

I'll continue to watch the show because it's generally very good. But if more writing takes place like the kind that had Laurie act like a complete idiot, I'll probably stop watching. I can only suspend disbelief so much.

Yeah that was mind-numbingly retarded. The characters in this show do some stupid ****, but that takes the cake. She thinks rick and glenn cant handle themselves? Even if she doesn't, what help does she think she'll be? Why leave without telling anyone? Why not try and go with rick and glenn in the first place?

Then dont even get me started on the car crash itself. She hits a walker and immediately slams the gas? How did this dumb bitch survive even before the apocalypse?

This short scene almost ruined an otherwise good episode for me, it was just so ridiculously contrived.

Don't forget that she's pregant so she's emotional and hormonal!!!

Same opinion. That scene was just horrid and had me and my GF laughing at the sheer stupidity of it all. Luckily, the last scene saved the episode from what was going to be just one of the worst premieres ever. There was some other very stupid parts, like when they were dumping the dead zombie bodies... The first one you see, they just throw into the pile to be burned, but the last body, they carefully set it down and position it all nicely and gently... I was like, wtf and why... but that is much easier to let go than the car scene.

This show is just been dragged out way to much, I was really hoping they were going to leave the area, now you just know there going to spend the rest of the season looking for Laurie, I just wish they'd stop dragging the plot to the point where I no longer care.

Ah good spot guys, I just re-watched the scene and spotted him lunge forward for the gun, missed that first time. Was still pretty epic though.

I sure hope not lol. First half of the season spent looking for Sophie, hope the second half isn't about looking for Laurie. Needs more exploration, I'd like to see them get out of the states, and like travel around the world and such.

...

You do realize they have a basic outline of the story that they need to stick to, right?

It also doesn't make any sense. You would go to a location and stay there as long as it was safe. You don't travel around like gypsies just because you can.

When its the situation you have there, It would be smart to find as many survivors as possible. You have to either rebuild civilization, or just survive till your tribe dies off.

    • You're absolutely right! No reason in hell these should be on the road!
    • They aren't going to want to. Most would just go with the 17 Pro and save money. Why would they want to spend $300 for basically the same thing? It's not worth it if there are hardly any changes from year to year.
    • 24H2 rolled out to the Release Preview Channel in early June 2024, so this coming a bit later in the Experimental Channel (formerly Dev) doesn't really say much more than earlier H2 releases that came out in October. I am not sure what the thinking is here by putting it in Experimental, one would think that the 26H2 stamp means features are locked down and it's now bug tested until October? I don't even pretend to understand Microsoft's strategy for Windows Insider Program though
