The Walking Dead (Season 2)

Today's episode was good and I like the new characters. Something about this episode felt different, though. I didn't feel the same suspense that I felt last week. I don't know, but it could be the incredible amount of commercials. The amount of commercials for this episode felt ridiculous! It felt like there were more commercials than any of the other episodes. Is it just me that feels this way?

They are just exploiting the fame of the show in order to get more ad revenue. I find it annoying too.

'The Walking Dead' renewed for third season by AMC

AMC has renewed The Walking Dead for a third season.

The second season of the zombie drama premiered earlier this month, attracting record cable ratings for the network.

On Tuesday, AMC's president Charlie Collier announced that the series will return for a third season.

"Today we are pleased to announce that the 'dead' shall live as we proudly renew The Walking Dead for a third season," said Collier.

He continued: "We are thankful for everyone's contribution in front of and behind the camera as we continue to make The Walking Dead a unique television experience. And, we are so proud as it continues to set viewership records around the world."

In March, it was reported that horror writer Stephen King was in talks to pen an episode of the zombie drama.

However, The Walking Dead's Gale Ann Hurd has said that King is unlikely to script an episode in the near future.

Series star Andrew Lincoln previously revealed that he is excited about the possibility of working with King.

The Walking Dead continues on Sundays at 9/8c on AMC in the US, and airs on Fridays at 10pm on FX in the UK.

Sorry for formatting i just copied and pasted it.

This is excellent news because I think Season 2 is going to be a slow burner going off the comics, gives them time to flesh out some of the good story arcs from the comics.

I think they picked the wrong stuff from the comics to start Season 2.

If you guys think the first two episodes are boring I dont think youll find the first half of the season interesting if they follow the comics.

which is probably why I am not going to watch it religiously each week...probably store them up and then watch when I have time to kill or its raining outside

So far I am really loving season 2, the only thing is in the first episode the main character said that the CDC guy said something to him before the building blew up but it was not important, so that was a bit frustrating but other then that it is one of my favorites series bar-none

Short seasons?

Season 2 has been bumped up to 13 episodes.

Just wait, it will be cropping up very shortly in S2.

+marcel we are only 2 episodes in, give it time. most of the actors are not big name ones anyways. writing wise, I think its pretty good, sure there have been some stupid moments like the water jug incident in the 1st episode. otherwise what else are you expecting, I have always felt that the writing is very real world like

Being bitten by a zombie doesn't turn you into one. You could die from a heart attack and reanimate.

you think that's it?

    • The problem isn't with Epic, it's with the platform holders like Steam and Nintendo, they should be a lot more strict in their review process.

    • Microsoft updates Visual Studio Code with easier language model discovery and in-app search by Paul Hill Microsoft has released Visual Studio Code 1.125, its latest weekly release. This week, the company has focused on discovering and installing extra language models via the Marketplace; searching the web and securely browsing over remote connections without leaving VS Code; choosing how long VS Code waits before installing extension updates; and delivering managed Copilot settings through existing device management tooling. In older versions of VS Code, extensions could contribute their own model providers, but to find these extensions, you needed the right tags to search for in the Extension view. Now, the Language Models editor gives you an Install Model Providers button that opens the Extensions view, which is filtered to extensions that contribute model providers, making it easier to find and install them. Once you install a provider, its model will appear in the model picker. If you use the integrated browser much, you can now look up information without leaving VS Code by typing a query into the integrated browser’s address bar. It will use your configured search engine, the same way a standalone browser does. You can use workbench.browser.searchEngine to pick a search engine. When the browser is opened in a remote workspace, it's now possible to proxy HTTP(S) traffic via the remote connection. This allows you to connect to any ports or services that can only be accessed from the remote machine. If you read our coverage from two weeks ago about VS Code 1.123, you might have seen that extension updates have a two-hour delay as a safety measure. In this update, Microsoft is giving you the ability to configure the time of the delay. You can find it under extensions.autoUpdateDelay. Finally, with this update, admins can deliver managed GitHub Copilot settings through native device management (MDM) channels on Windows and macOS, in addition to account-based enterprise settings files. Settings delivered via MDM appear as policy-enforced in VS Code and can’t be overridden locally. Future updates will extend the supported policy keys across Copilot surfaces. You can download the update from the Visual Studio Code website now.
