This show is so consistently great. Tonights episode was hilarious.

"No, I want to tell the story of jesus from the perspective of a film maker exploring the life of jesus. See in the film makers film jesus is a film maker trying to find god with his camera, but then the film maker realizes he's actually jesus and is being filmed by gods camera, and it goes like that forever like a mirror in a mirror because all the filmakers are jesus and all the camera's are god. The film is called ABHED, all caps. Filmmaking beyond film. A Metafilm, my masterpiece"

Sources close to the show confirm that NBC has ordered two additional episodes of Community, making the series second season a full 24 episodes.

So what exactly does this mean for Joel McHale and Co.?

NBC's two episode order (first reported by our friends over at HitFix) means exactly one thing--Communies (as we call ourselves) get an extra hour of Greendale goodness this season!

OK, it means a little more than that, but we're a little excited. Community has been considered an on-the-bubble show for much of last season and a chunk of its sophomore year, but the additional pickup is (we hope) a sign of good things to come for our funny fave.

It's also an indication that the Peacock Net is standing behind the series even in the face of it's new CBS rival (and ratings-killer), The Big Bang Theory.

Maybe it was last week's zombie-tinged boost in viewers, or maybe it's simply the fact that Community is hilarious and deserves to be on the air. Either way, we'll take it.

And NBC...thank you.

Don't miss Community Thursday's at 8 p.m. on NBC.

Easter Egg of the Day: The best thing about NBC?s Community is the thing you have to wait for the Internet to tell you about the next day. Remember Abed?s secret storyline? Well, last night?s episode contained a similar Easter Egg, reserved for the extremely perceptive: The moment the infamous pen was swiped by [redacted] was actually caught on camera (confirmed by creator Dan Harmon)!

Heaven help you, NBC, if you so much as shear a second off this treasure trove of neverending awesome.

Here's your first look at the upcoming claymation Community Christmas special. Here's the official synopsis:

When Abed (Danny Pudi) wakes up in stop-motion animation, he takes it as a sign that he and the group must re-discover the meaning of Christmas. Meanwhile, Jeff (Joel McHale) and Britta (Gillian Jacobs) become growingly concerned about Abed?s mental health and enlist the help of Professor Duncan (John Oliver). The group undergoes hypnosis to explore Abed?s winter wonderland and soon unravel the truth behind Abed?s madness.

So there's really no way this will be bad, right?

    • Why? Does anybody actually want this? The constant need to close all browser sessions and wait for a new version to install, just so that there’s a integrated coupon manager feels like a waste of everyone’s time
    • I remember when Louis used to just do interesting Mac/iPhone repairs, now he's boring and just launches "crusades" every week
    • A shame it don't allow people to bypass the MS account, I will stick to using Rufus.
    • Microsoft about to radically change how often your Edge browser updates by Paul Hill Microsoft has just announced that starting with Edge 152, it will be moving to a two-week release cycle for faster, smaller updates. This faster release cadence will begin on August 27. This change comes just several months after Microsoft switched Visual Studio Code to weekly updates. The company said that the Extended Stable releases will remain on an eight-week cycle and that no admin changes are needed to experience the faster release cycle on the Stable channel. The new two-week release cycle will enable the faster delivery of security updates and platform improvements, all while reducing the size and complexity of individual updates. Microsoft claims that organizations will benefit from this change as it offers predictable validation cycles. For organizations that prefer a “more deliberate pace”, the Extended Stable channel remains an option. This change will affect Edge Stable releases on Windows, macOS, Linux, and mobile. The Extended Stable channel will continue to be updated every eight weeks, or every fourth Stable release, for example: versions 152, 156, 160, and 164. The Extended Stable could be a good option for organizations that don’t want the latest updates twice a month and don’t want as much hassle constantly updating browsers. In the case of Visual Studio Code, many of the updates being pushed by Microsoft are AI-related. As we all know, Microsoft Edge has a lot of AI features, so we could see Microsoft pushing more AI, thanks to the faster cycles. On the flip side, quicker releases could mean faster security updates, which is beneficial in a world where AI systems are hunting for software exploits. What do you think? Let us know in the comments. For more updates on Edge, be sure to follow Neowin's coverage. In May alone, we reported on Edge offering in-browser pop-ups to assist users with website compatibility issues, that Edge was losing Copilot Mode, and that Microsoft had fixed a plain-text password bug in Edge. • not yet, because at the moment it is not a threat to MS, if and I mean if it did become a threat to MS Office, then it may be a different thing. MS don't like competition
