Transformers: Dark of the Moon (Transformers 3)

I'm beginning to wonder if this film might not be the best of the series. Even my wife wants to go see this one. It looks awesome.

I think it might be amazing, but then I think it will leave me wanting more

Thank You Note From Michael Bay

I just want to take the opportunity to thank all the fans around the world for letting me have fun with the Transformers franchise. It has been a wonderful opportunity to have worked with about 4000 crew members around the world. These artists are some of the very best in the entire film business. I?m honored to have had you work along side me. We had an amazing time.

?Dark of the Moon? has some of the most technically challenging sequences ever shot. And shot in 3D. I must urge you to find the very best theatre and see this movie in that format. 3D was a forethought, not an afterthought in this movie. I?m glad Jim Cameron and Steven Spielberg really convinced me to shoot in this new technology. We used and invented many new techniques to make the 3D sharper, brighter and more color contrast. I think theatre owners heard their audience that they need to respect the specs of the projectors and not dim the bulbs to save money.

Many theaters are presenting it in the brand new 7.1 sound, which is awesome. This is the most complex, intricate sound track that me and my Academy Awarding winning sound team have done. They really out did themselves to make this a big picture experience. Hopefully you will have as much fun watching this movie as we all had making it.

Thanks,

Michael Bay

Personally I think that lead female character looks like she fell out of the ugly tree and face planted every thick ugly branch all the way down, how she passes for "sexy" is beyond my comprehension and from some pics I saw of her I could count like 3 - 4 ribs sticking out on each side, do they even feed this woman? She makes Megan Fox look a goddess tbh...

Only cause she's british everyone is hating.. shes HOT! and shes going out with my fav actor ;)

I have nothing against the fact that she is British I have a problem that they are dressing up a frog and telling me it's a princess (N)

Only heard one review so far and distinctly tepid, with not much love for the new lead actress. Ho hum...

this is going to be the problem...they are going to be looking at the Megan Fox replacement rather then the film itself

Just got back from the advanced screening.

Non spoiler thoughts:

Too long. Good movie, better than the second by far.

Too many gay jokes. GLAAD will surely complain.

7.5/10

Spoilers:

Sam/Carly relationship was useless. Could have left it completely out.

The evil plot didn't make any sense. In the current time it did, but when it was formed, it would be pointless.

Not enough Bumblebee.

Optimus gets stuck in some construction cable for 45 minutes? Ridiculous.

That's it for now.

So, anyone who has seen it in 3d - is it really that good like some claim?

3D was very, very good in parts. Especially the very beginning. The bots look great in 3D. Everything else, its meh.

3D looks good on CGI and animation. On 'normal' objects its nothing.

Also, I forgot to add last night: There is no scene after the credits, so no reason to bother staying. There are a couple quick 'jokes' during the beginning of the credits, but thats it.

Umm...british accent = hot...this female thing in the movie does not belong in the movie or any movie, or for that matter should not be a model (at least the neck up, she could pose in boy clothes neck down).

Hot british chicks = Rachel Hurd-Wood, Naomi Watts, Kate Beckinsdale, Elizabeth Hurley (there are more this is just a short list)

Not british but hot = Karen Gillan

@RottenTomatoes: Roger Ebert gives Transformers 1 star. "One of the more unpleasant experiences I've had at the movies." http://t.co/Kt3bi9D

who really cares about a critic's opinion? lol. I'm still going to watch it anyway.

I'll be going to see it regardless of critics or others opinions, I want to see an entertaining summer film with giant robots, which I will no doubt get.

I'm not looking for the next coming of sliced bread, lol.

Karen Gillan isn't British? :s

She was last time I checked, lol.

    • Zed 1.7.2 has landed with updated OpenCode models, bug fixes and other improvements by David Uzondu Zed 1.7.2 recently landed on the stable release channel, bringing a host of AI-related features including automatic context compaction and settings-based skill management, along with other things like better Markdown preview rendering and custom git commands in the graph view. Starting with the AI stuff, the developers introduced "/compact", a command that basically summarizes your conversation history on demand. This tool prevents your active chat window from hitting token limits by compressing older parts of the dialogue into a brief overview. In addition to that, the team relocated skill management to the settings UI, improving how the application communicates errors regarding those skills, and updated the OpenCode model roster to support DeepSeek V4 Flash, MiniMax M3, Qwen 3.7 Plus, and Nemotron 3 Ultra Free. External agent users can also monitor context window cost metrics and delete individual sessions directly from their history. Right-clicking ref labels in the git graph now opens a context menu that runs different actions against selected targets, kind of how VS Code does it. Here are some of the bug fixes this new release brings: The active agent fails to auto-select when creating a new git worktree. A scrollbar unexpectedly appears on wrapped code blocks in the agent chat. Collapse indicators for project headers appear when performing sidebar searches. Bracketed ellipsis title prefixes fail to show the ellipsis icon properly. Project icons render incorrectly in the recent projects picker. Diff hunk controls appear inside non-editable commit view multibuffers. The software update button hangs indefinitely on the downloading stage. Restoring an agent terminal in a remote project triggers a sudden crash. Splitting a pane that contains an active commit view causes a crash. Linux Wayland freezes when trying to read the clipboard from laggy external apps. Zed is a "newish" code editor trying to break the massive stronghold VS Code has on the developer community. Funny enough, the editor was created by former GitHub employees who worked on the Atom text editor (which Microsoft killed in 2022, several years after it bought GitHub). The project officially hit version 1.0 back in April, introducing platform parity for Windows and Linux alongside deep support for DeepSeek-V4-Pro.
    • 26H2 absolutely will support ARM Windows just not on devices that came with 26H1. This is evident by the fact I am running 26H2, which on my MacBook Neo and Surface Pro 12 (inch), within a VM.

    • The FIFA World Cup is not US centric.
    • It’s amusing how Microsoft is pushing IT admins as if this was a major, game-changing update. In reality, it’s just an enablement package that bumps the build number, which is disappointing compared to the more substantial 22H2 and 24H2 releases. Technically, 25H2, 26H1, and the upcoming 26H2 are essentially the same, differing only in support schedules. They could have included the Windows K2 improvements here, but chose not to. The era of Windows being in the backburner continues, and this 26H2 release feels like an afterthought. Shame, Nadella, shame.
