Then you're really missing out.

Yup, this is one of those sequels you find it hard to believe it's come out from the same team (is it the same team?).

I dunno how anyone could vote this best graphics of the year though, yeah all things considered the scope is nice, but pretty average textures on characters, shadow pop-in and some minor tearing.

Wow, I was zooming around in one of the glyph puzzles and found this hidden hex message:

41:6e:74:49:6b:79:74
68:65:72:61:20:4d:65
63:68:61:6e:69:73:6d
2c:20:6d:75:63:68:20

68:61:6e:20:31:35:30
20:42:2e:43:2e:45:2e

Which translates to

AntIkythera Mechanism, much older than 150 B.C.E.

What the? I wonder if there were more in the ones I've already done! @_@

Sumeran. Me 23.

Looks like other people have found them too.

Edited by chAos972

Finally got a chance to start playing. The intro is very long and unfortunately I have to experience it twice. I'm really enjoying the changes so far though, and I look forward to more advanced combat.

I'm desperate to play this. This is the game i've been waiting for months now. It looks so good.

Looks like play.com wrecked the pre-orders on the Black Edition. Lots of people haven't received it yet and some peoples are "packing". Mine started packing Wednesday morning and Thursday afternoon it was despatched. I've had it pre-ordered since it was first put on there and it seems i'm one of the last people to have theirs processed.

That will teach me to buy exclusive special editions.

Just finished it last night, and oh boy what a game!!

Wrestling the Pope!! priceless (Y)

And I thought everybody knew that we're engineered by a superior race

And finally best closing exclamation ever! you're right Desmond WTF???

And Assassins Creed III? they are going to use the animus while in the truck, so I don't think it will be in present time, so there's gonna be a AC IV for sure.

It seems there are more tearing on PS3

Probably, AC1 on the PS3 was a technical nightmare.

It's just jarring after playing something like Uncharted 2 which is practically perfect in every way possible technically :p

The way the character runs annoys me as well, it's like he's constipated!

Well, I have to say I cannot put AC2 down. I really tried to man-up through AC1 but eventually lost interest but damn, AC2 is fantastic. The story alone is keeping me coming back and Ezio is a much more refined character. Definitely got the franchise going in the right direction again. I actually am avoiding purchasing MW2 at this time because I want to finish AC2.

Same here (already finished it), first game of the year I couldn't put down until done, not even MW2 and UC2

Thats nice, don't care, they should've had them in the first but they didn't so I am not going to buy/play this game.

What a fail of a reason not to play the sequel

My mate bought the black edition which was exclusive to play.com(?) and it wasnt even delivered today.

play.com fail.

I'm in the same boat. Really annoying but hopefully it will be here tomorrow.

If not, i will have to finish Dragon Age over the weekend.

    • 47% profit margin? Wtf!! I know companies are in business to make money but come on man. I know for a fact I'll never own one of these.
    • Most AI-powered mainframe migration vendors expected to fail by 2030, Gartner warns by Paul Hill Credit: Pexels You may have read that many companies still run code written in ancient programming languages like COBOL and pay a handsome sum for those who can maintain that code. Well, it looks like this area of the tech world could be the scene of an AI bubble. It turns out that there are mainframe exit vendors, helping companies move their legacy mainframe systems to modern cloud environments or servers such as Microsoft Azure and AWS, using generative AI tooling. Unfortunately, 75% of these vendors are now expected to pivot or cease operations as market realities take hold by 2030. Alessandro Galimberti from Gartner said: Some of the companies in the mainframe exit market are IBM, 21CS, BMC, Broadcom, Rocket Software, DXC, GTSG, and Kyndryl. The reasons some of these firms are expected to quit the market are a reset of market expectations and a decline in demand for one-size-fits-all migration solutions. The reset in expectations is likely to be driven by cost overruns and threats to business, and the potential occurrence of critical failures within businesses as a result of bad transition implementations. These insights from Gartner are pretty interesting because it’s a specific area of the market where doubt is being cast on generative AI. Many people have cast doubt on whether AI companies will successfully justify the massive amounts spent on GenAI to date, and this data from Gartner suggests the road could be rocky for GenAI.
    • Heaven forbid they lose pennies from their Trillions! Like always, the consumer pays the most. Why is Tim Cooks even talking.....shouldn't he be packing up his office??
    • If you have the budget...! Some solo or indies just want to either learn or start their game and aren't in a capacity to pay salaries or to contractors... Get real.
