Mozilla fixed the cause of the Explorer crash (Clipboard) in the source code Firefox. So with on of the next 3.5 updates, the fix will be released.

I don't see anything suspicious in the HJT log. Can you download ShellExView and post the log from it? You make one by going to View>Select All then File>Save Selected Items

Shell extensions are like browser plugins for Explorer. If they're improperly written they can crash their host. It's not a host fault. :)

Can we change the shell extensions ? and if so do you have any links ?

Cheers that was a very long, but interestong read. comment 71 "doesn't look like it made beta 5, but will definitely be in beta 6 or the RC

(which ever one is decided to be next)."

Been having crashes off and on the last few days. Today no problems. Running very smooth. I've been looking at services and software. Yesterday I updated Java and also I re-checked Indexing Service. Wouldn't think any of these would have anything to do with these freeze ups.

im assuming this has already been solved, but for me it happened all the time when right clicking on anything, removed Reinstalled updated Winrar/disabled the right click integration and it hasnt happened for months

I installed the latest Nvidia nForce driver http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us and no more hanging or freeze ups. It was happening all the time on 7 (64) with various browsers and software so I knew it was a driver or hardware issue.

how do I get the DMP file ?

Download this file to your desktop:

http://cid-128fc518635be2dc.skydrive.live....R^_Explorer.reg

Make a double click on it. When Explorer crashes again, you'll find a dmp file under C:\Localdumps. Please uplod this file to RS.com ad post the link here.
