As to not using lmhosts since the old days -- sure, wins is what is normally used.. But since you don't have control of dns or wins it seems then you have to do it old school ;)

I think just going to each laptop once and setting up the program and then doing a proper dns flush and register and then gpupdate /force will work. I've tried it on 1 laptop and now it seems all my GPO's were applied.

If I dont get the keys to the kingdom or completely redesign the kingdom, I dont take the job :p

For a contracted college student making decent amount of money... Hell, I'm not gonna worry if I don't have keys to the entire kingdom... but i at least have to have keys to my little town lol

So after reading the EULA for Bridge-Checker I'd have to purchase a license and I'm fighting like hell just to try and get our floor OFF the crappy LanDesk AV and go to something better like Nod32 :(

So it looks like I'm going to try the dock/undocked profile configuration...
