It's interesting that many people don't tend to use the perks (apart from the ad free stuff). Maybe we'll have to make the subscriber packages a little more interesting :)

There are people like me who subscribe primarily to support the site and consider the perks an added bonus (like the big perk you gave us yesterday), but not the main reason to give you money.

Atlas is the name of the new forum skin for IPB3 (Finity is last one for IPB2), ignition is the name of the new content management system for the front page

incase you have not heard ignition and atlas/ipb3 is a complete site re-design, not just looks but under the hood as well, we are currently running on newly installed servers to

Back when I subscribed (back in '06 - ages ago I know :p) I never used the extra features either (I'm not sure I even used the blog :p). I just subscribed to support Neowin.

Edit: No - I didn't use the blog until I was on staff.

*nod* Blogs on sites like this are kinda irrelevant nowadays due to twitter and Facebook and the like.

Perhaps the next version of Neowin could have an alternative perk for Subscribers instead of a Blog. xD

That I don't know, I remember when Tier 2 first arrived all current sub people were told to wait for your current one to expire or mail the money through paypal directly but you'll have to wait for a staff member to admit what I just said to be true :p
