HawkMan
well I wouldn't say apes, but culture does not mean they can't understand the concept of extinction Maybe people from nations who don't do whaling, don't understand it, don't know how many whales exist and only like to protect whales because they are big and all and star teek said it was bad. shouldn't talk so much about whaling and anti whaling. It's seriously ridiculous to hear the silly stupid and nonsensical claims from anti whalers
t_r_nelson
It's clear from that youtube CNN video that the harpoon ship *clearly* steered toward them, and then away once the crash occured. The other rammings present on that show have been a little sketchy, but this one you cannot deny. They even spray them with water whilst the captain's trying to reverse. I wouldn't say '*clearly*'. The swells of the waves, at that speed, can affect the motion of the boat. When it goes toward the ship, it is coming down from a wave.
Diabolii
Arent many species of whales on the verge of being wiped out though? If the whaling was no threat, sure, but when a species is being REMOVED for existence, it is a loss to the world and to everyone. As for this incident, im kind of gonna have to side with the Japs BECAUSE those anti-whalers tend to think they can do anything in the name of justice, and im sure a japanese crew, under the command of a captain, would all know the regulations and laws they are finely walking on.
