too bad most of the winning teams players and captains are all canadians

and other then like 6 american cities no one even watches the game. i mean in florida they litterally give tickets away for free. just because they are winning in the states, doesn't mean they know anything. new jresey can't even sell out in the playoffs. Most of the teams down there are run by canadians... but this is a different topic all together.

As much as I hate to admit it, you're mostly right. I'm an American and I'm a huge hockey fan, and I'd be willing to bet that I know more about hockey than the average or above average Canadian fan. But unfortunately, big hockey fans like me arent exactly common here in the states. I know like 3 people that are hockey fans. It just doesnt get any respect down here. I've been to sports bars and asked to have a hockey game put on, and 95% of the time they'll say they dont carry them, and the rest of the time they'll just say no. My cable company doesnt even offer NHL Network. It sucks. But dont judge us all because most people here dont care about the sport. We may not have as many fans down here, but I can assure you that the level of appreciation and devotion of the die hard fans like me is right on par with your guys best.

With that said, go Team USA!

not doubting you at all bud, i know their are some hardcores down there too :) (you're from orange county? ducks fan? i love the ducks too! got the stanley cup banner in my room to prove it! and the duck players on the canadian team are all doing really well, getzlaf just notched his second!)

canada is doing well, and the slovaks are sure as hell playing better then russia.

anyone else surprised by the bad coaching by the european coaches? Not pullin kipper or nabokov early enough? dumb moves by both coaches

3-0!!!! Getzlaf is a beast!

I know... But the Slovaks definitely deserve the bronze, I hope they win over the Finns, despite how much I love the Finnish team. Sunday's game is gonna be a nailbiter. Good thing I'm planning on being plastered by the time it starts as 3PM EST, haha.

Canada's been doing great the last few days, we've got the most gold medals and we're sitting at 3rd in the medal race behind the U.S.A and Germany. Can't wait till the gold medal game starts!

The last few medal events have definitely been in favor of Canada's strong sports. Was kind of shocked the Swedish women knocked off the Canadians in curling. I stopped watching after the 6th end when it was 5-4 Canada, thought for sure they had it wrapped up as the Swedish looked pretty poor. Came back in the 10th and couldn't believe it.

Can't wait for Sunday. My hope for the game is that the US keeps it close. I'm a huge Sharks fan and a huge hockey fan. My feeling is that Luongo always was the better choice for goalie, even though Brodeur deserved the shot. Luongo at this point is much better and the Canadians will be fierce Sunday. Fortunately, Ryan Miller is playing fantastically and the guys are really creating chances. Should be fun!

Nice. Canada is leading in Gold medal counts. Maybe that will help the government when it is deciding to cut the budget for our Sports and Recreation programs.

Or it might tur out to be the oposite...all achivements have been reached and its time to save money :p

    • The current Statcoungter desktop numbers has Google Chrome increasing it's market share this past year and currently commanding 75% share. Everybody else is just making up the numbers with even MS Edge losing 3% this past year and has dipped just below 10% share which is staggering considering it's default on every Windows deviced purchased. If these numbers are correct that terrible Edge number is both devastating and embarrassing for MS especially when you add in the terribly low Bing market share. This leads me to ask a couple of questions as the default browser holding just less than 10% market share seems really weird. It used to be that all Chromium browsers were being counted as Google Chrome in some cases.  Is this still happening? Do these high Google Chrome numbers contains some Edge user numbers?
    • Yeah, all web browsers seem to have some junk in them these days. The regular Brave browser has a lot of unnecessary stuff in it, similar to Microsoft Edge, so I don't see any benefits of using Brave over Microsoft Edge if you already have Microsoft Edge fully set up with ad blockers and that. The cleanest or best free browser outside of 'Microsoft Edge' I’ve tried so far is 'Samsung Browser'. It has very little bloat and is a nice-looking web browser with an inbuilt 'Ad blocker'. I also really like the web browser called 'Floorp' that is based on Firefox. This browser can also install Chrome extensions. I have a system wide Ad blocking program for Windows 11 that doesn't just blocks ads in the web browser, but over the whole system. I don't really need a web browser with an inbuilt ad blocker because of that.
