i remember going to the site and it mentioning that it was pay because of people not donating for bandwidth (this was before 4.0). it was dumb because he could obviously gotten someone else to host the downloads. i think hes just being greedy and everyone should show him by switching to an open source one like gaim, which supports pretty much all the features deadaim has

ehhh... i tried gaim for a while. blackbox for windows = good linux port. gaim for windows = ewww.

its not that bad. i use it for both windows and linux...my only grip is that i wish there was more plugins

It's good for 5 times and you can e-mail jdennis if you need the counter reset to 0 again, won't cost anything... You can have it reset as often as you want as the $4.99 paid is for one year.
