Starcraft 2 Beta

Really? So i'm alright with my pc and it can run good enough

Thank's :-)

If you really were in doubt check system specs and its starcraft. People with 8yr old computers are trying to play this game lol. You should pretty much know your computer is quite good for another year or 2 for gaming.

Also the system specs for starcraft 2 are nothing. So thats another thing.

But with Obi telling you he can, your fine. I run it all high maxed out evreything and get 60fps. But i dropped down to 1280*720 because anything highers looks smaller to me, but i kept graphics maxed otu and runs like butter.

So the US Battle.net servers were down for a long while (more than a couple of hours) and a new patch has been released. Now I'm getting a version mismatch error. Come on Blizzard!

EDIT: It's up.

5:0 and I get placed in the gold league? FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

Its great though. I love how the engine was optimized, now the performance is better than during the first phase.

Tell me about it. I went 4-1 with my friend and we were placed in Silver League. To make it even worse, we're put against skillful Gold League players.

Anyway, here's my character name/code: Anaron - 758.

I'm aware of that and I'm sure KavazovAngel is too. It's just that, in the past patches I'd be placed in the Gold League with a 4-1 or even a 3-2 record. I didn't expect to go Silver with 4-1.

They changed it so that you cannot auto-place into Diamond, and I think it is now harder to place in Platinum. I think this is to make the upper leagues a bit more exclusive, and not accidentally dumping lucky people in to Platinum, only to get absolutely obliterated down to silver. In the earlier phases of beta, being in Old Platinum/New Diamond was kinda overrated and didn't mean a whole lot.

Who knows though, over time it could go back to being flooded with average players again

new information for those who wanted to digitally download sc2

Yep, you can download an encrypted version of the SC2 client right now (if you buy the digital version). :)

I'm really torn about getting this game. I have the special edition on pre order but I just don't know how much I will be able to play to make it worth the cost. And I'm also fairly certain if I play online I'll get stomped one game after another.. I haven't played an rts in years. The last rts game I really played was C&C Generals.

So yeah... not sure what kind of reply I'm looking for here. Maybe if I decide to get it some people will want to play with a noob like me and show me the ropes. If nothing else you'll get some easy wins.

No need to be afraid. Its quite an easy game to learn, but hard to master, just like any other Blizzard game. There are lots of videos on Youtube showing you the basics, some pro tactics and other stuff.

Basically, I realized, the way to win in the game is to counter your enemy's forces. So, scouting early and learning what he's up to is a must.
