Just played on hour on the PC, no lag joined server right away. Was definitely very good.

With that said I had a major issue. My melee was not working at all!! Has anyone experienced this? It was like the game refused to recognize my MMB (Middle Mouse Button). I even tried to remap it and when I did it said something about it was already in use???

So yeah, need to fix this issue ASAP. I got knifed like 4 times and definitely could have knifed the person first 3 out of the 4, so need to find a resolution ASAP there. Ready to switch out my mouse if needed!!!

Only things I can think of is I did run the game as an administrator and I did edit the profile document to pump up my FOV a bit.

I should add I have an NZXT Avatar Mouse.

I think what I am going to do is uninstall the NZXT Software and then see if it still does not work. Once I figure that out, I will try to reinstall the software again.

What sucks is the software lets me change up the DPI on the fly, which is definitely a nice touch, and lets me get crazy with the sensitivity, etc., but I need melee to work in BFBC2.

If uninstalling the software does not work, I will go ahead and try my old Logitech mouse.

But if anyone knows anything, please share. I just posted on the official EA forums, but not holding my breath on a response.

renal and restsrt the game. I've had it do it once for camera view. Seeing how the key I assigned wasn't in use I did It anyway restatted game and it remapped again without piping the message up. I would of been ****ed not being able to knife. I knife people like nothing. Half my kills are knife lol.

Same here. Knifing always works for me. Hell it's mapped to thumb in my

mouse. If it didn't work I would know lol.

And blah that's how I run it. Through the icon from the desktop. I'll try it again when i'm home

i did have a weird issue when i remapped my knife key to one of my side button on my g5 that it would randomly start knifing on it's own. it stopped but it lasted for like 5 minutes and fixed itself...

Well uninstalling the drivers from my mouse made the issue go away, it is working again. So going to reinstall them later and then see if it works.

I also run it as an Administrator and it still worked, so all signs point to the mouse drivers for whatever reason.

Mouse issue sorted out, thank the lord. Installed drivers for my mouse again, and it works no problem. Weird. Now I am wondering if it stopped working cause I had multiple instances of the game running and did not realize it. They definitely need to fix that ASAP.

Now I'm wondering if I should even bother. I did notice that the difficulty level of Normal is by far harder than the original.

As I've said before, I'm going to forgive this SP since the main focus is MP, and consider it an "add on bonus." I mean, there are plenty of MP games out there at full price that don't even offer single player.

I haven't even started the SP, nor do I think I will. I never did for BC1 and more than got my money's worth and BC2 already is much more fun.

Problem now is I can't join any games! Not sure if everything is just full or what. To add to that, I just got my Elite 3 weeks ago and have my Arkham Asylum and Assassins Creed 2 saves on my release console hard drive. Guess this is going to force me to stop being lazy and move over those saves already haha. Strange there is nothing on the BF website or the scrolling ticker on the main menu screen.

Got my M95 unlocked today. It's awesome. You can 1 shot the quad bikes with it. :laugh:

So, Et Tu, Brute is by far the most annoying achievement of this game. It more or less has to be boosted. Sure you can get 5 knife kills legit any game (really not hard), but those 5 knife kills all on the same guy (most I've been able to do was 3 in one match) and that guy has to be on your friends list. Ridiculous.

So lucky for me, when joining as a two person squad it split us up and since we were in Party Chat we just kept meeting each other. Less than 5 minutes, both of us had the most annoying (IMO) achievement in the game.

Rank 10 finally. Time to level up my engineering perk for that kit one. Already got Assault and Medic (best class ever) just this and Recon ( /sigh hate the first gun) to go.

And for those of you interested it seems it's going to take 5.2 million EXP to hit Rank 50 (General of the Army). Using the following website as a guide, even though it has some errors, for the most part its spot on.

I noticed you dropped by a server I was playing, we did fairly well :)

You kept running off while I was trying to re stock you though! Still I ended up with an epic score that game. Even ninja knifed an entire camping squad. :p

Conquest is fantastic fun though, feels alien after so much Rush! That map with the ship wreck is so well designed I was finding new routes to the flags even at the end of 2 rounds!

Never had a problem with them per say but this may surprise a few; I never liked Battlefield 2. Battlefield 1942 was "okay" because it was released at a time where it stood out but that's about it. Only real Battlefield games I enjoyed

was Vietnam because it was just pure bonkers and Bad Company 1 which still frustrated the hell out of me. So this is actually the first Battlefield branded game I love.

Though let's not start with "EA" aka. "Enormous A-holes" - That's a different subject :laugh:

I did forget to mention one niggle and that's the control mapping, apparently you can't remove mappings which is a huge problem. I hooked up my Flightstick in hope of trying out the helicopter at some

point but when it is connected, I will just spin around like crazy when In-game. So I can stop that by centering the throttle but then it still "fights" for the control and mouse movement will be slow

and jerky. So the solution? Remove all the mappings from the "foot" section of controls but I can't :/

EDIT: Actually, there's another; why can't you see the servers settings from the server browser? Most servers are just called by their clan-name or some website

yet you have NO idea what kinda settings they are running, HC, Non-HC, Killcam enabled or not - what's going on?! I can't be arsed joining them all to check it out.

Managed 40 mins of play last night - got connected first time (Oldpharts server) but the map was pretty empty.

Got Vet rank 4 but I couldn't see how to use my Limited Edition unlocks...anyone know if they can even be used or whether they have to be unlocked anyway?

Not a fan of this game it is way unbalanced, from the 10-15 minutes at a time i can play before being kicked for TCP Timeout it seems every map is always dominated by one team, i was on one map they had 3 spawns our team had 1 and it was in a spawn point that is funnelled through a little path between hills and they just sat there with the whole team and an APC and for the whole match no one could get away from spawn.

Been playing this since yesterday, the game is quite overrated I think, it tries to be Modern Warfare and this is extremely notable in the single player campaign which is quite mediocre. The gameplay mechanics is all to similar as in Modern Warfare 2, so are parts of the story and level design, really unoriginal. The only thing I like in this game is the destructible buildings and how you can shoot down cover but how or why on Earth did some reviewers compare this to Crysis in terms of graphics, they're nowhere near as good graphically nor as good in the physics department, I miss shooting palm tree leaves. Multiplayer on the other hand is pleasantly fun but I'm looking forward to Battlefield 3 which supposedly will "blow my mind away". Not sure if I'll keep this game or not yet, looking for fuller servers.

Maybe it's just me setting my standards to high after finishing Mass Effect 2 which is the best game in my opinion, just love the story, gameplay, and did I mention its story? It's bloody addictive.

Overall, I'd give this game a 7/10. Single player alone I'd give a 5/10 for an unoriginal storyline, boring/uninspiring plot and at times, confusing, as it chucks you in the middle of nowhere after a cut-scene. Sound effects I'd give 9/10 when War Tapes is selected, Graphics an 8/10 and Multiplayer an 8/10.

Admittedly, I've never played the first one so yea, maybe it has something to do with this (I don't think the first one ever reached PC). Put simply, I find it difficult not to compare this game to Modern Warfare 2.

Oh man, there's one map... I can't remember the name of it. It's one of the jungle maps. Basically, it was Rush and we (attackers) were going for the last two M-COMs. It was like the battle of Thermopylae. We couldn't get through to the M-COMs at all. The defenders had a lot of snipers that literally tore us apart. I played as a medic and kept healing and reviving. Within a short amount of time, I went from having a score of 700 to over 6000 - just constantly healing and reviving. I lost count of the number of times I revived my teammates. Most of them didn't even respawn normally. I wouldn't let them die, haha.
