Here's a tip: Connect to a server from your history. Updating the main server browser just won't work with so many people trying at once. That's what I did yesterday and it seemed to work. I just hope it works today.

It's not the updating that's the problem, joining them is and I did try from my server history as well.

Oh and just tried the War Tapes - Not that impressed, voices are toned down and everything else is turned up but it's to a point where the sound is distorted ( Possibly intentional? ) In any

case it doesn't sound all that fantastic on my HD650s.

Oh, I see. I'll give it a try myself. I think I ran into that issue once or twice yesterday. I mostly had problems with the server browser updating.

Looks like things are worse today than they were yesterday. I kinda had a feeling this would happen. It's the damn Europeans! :p

Anyway, you'll have to search his server by name and add it from the server browser. I think there's a field to type in a server name.

grr i only managed to get 30secs of online play (had to quit to update my nvidia drivers as i was getting loads of crazy artifacts) so have been playing sp

Being my first time playing a battlefield game, have to say it has a very different feel to it compared to cod. Seems much more realistic (with the re-coil)

The only issue iv found is with the controls, i miss just pressing the crouch button once and staying crouched, gets annoying havin to hold the key down

Also sprinting, you cant strafe while sprinting, which in most fps's you can so this will take a bit of time to get used to

And for some reason i doesnt recognise my mouse side buttons which is a little annoying, so will have to map the buttons to keyboard keys i think (i like to have one for grenade and the other for melee)

My only complaint about the sp is the stop starting, seems to be a cut scene every 30secs, makes it hard to actually immerse yourself in the game

Though i have to say im loving blowing up buildings/cover.

Im hoping that the server issues are fixed soon

I don't know why you guys are having so many server problems. It's taking a long time to refresh the server list, but I can connect just fine and I'm not dropping out or getting high latency. I wonder if they have a different login server for Canada or it's separated in NA by East and West.

I've probably put in about 10 hours playtime into this game so far and I love it. Still trying to figure out the drop off with the sniper rifle though.

Ya, I like when the servers have the death cam set up, though it can give away their position, so I can see why not all servers have it activated. A guy named Beanu was causing me a lot of problems on tuesday night. I was pretty much just target practice for him. I could rarely figure out where he was.

Sounds entertaining. Kinda like how you can take '142 damage from world' in Source games. Kinda funny.

It was interesting. I was running toward my friend to revive him and I ran through an enemy Engineer. As soon as I ran through him, he died and I died with him. Then it showed my killer as the Engineer and his weapon as "death" (with a skull and two bones icon).

ET:QW wasnt that impressive of a game, I got it for free with my 8600 and couldnt get into the game play. I definitely recommend this game if you have played ANY BF2 games, if you havent, still pick this up. Its a good game and soon all the kinks will be ironed out.

This is a GOOD battlefield game. Battlefields Offical Blog said they are releasing more R4 servers to Hosting companies, to reroute traffic to EA so authentications pass. Yesterday i was getting a breeze going into games, today Im gonna be trying within 15 minutes. Half of my friends list atm, is playing BC2. Theres 19 people playing BC2 all multiplayer. I just asked all of them.

So the games running fine. You gotta give EA a chance, now that the game is released to EVERYONE, its gonna start settling down. All the new EA accounts/Old EA account, unlocks, etc.

All I know is, this release was BETTER then BF2, but funny thing is, on the EA forums, the associate producer for this game said they were ready for the BF2 day 1 crowd, but they STILL underestimated how many people were getting this game. WOW. BF2 got hit HARD day 1 and still is with thousands of people playing. Even after implementing enough EA Authentication servers to support the "estimated bf2" crowd, they still failed. Only means a LOT of people besides BF2 players noticed this game.

We will see offical numbers soon, but all I know is, this gives me a PERFECT reason to play Single Player XD. I never play single player as long as I have multiplayer so perfect excuse for me to play an interesting single player.

ALSO, ANYONE STILL BEING KICKED make sure BFBC2 BETA is deleted from your my documents AND program files, be it steam or not. I kept getting kicked, PB is up to date via PBSETUP and guess what? Steam "deleted" BFBC2 but kept the PB files and a few other files in the program files folder and the My Documents. Deleted those and yeserday i played for 2 solid hours of NO lag. My ping was 68 to chicago. Was playing full 32 on Nelson Bay.

@Rajput: IF your gonna keep bashing this game only 2 days after release, please leave this thread. No need to read your garbage every page.

PC players, what is the verdict please? I've got all my old fragmates from ET:QW days begging me to get this. Is it really worth it?

+1, when it works it's awesome. the ps3 beta was great too... but right now, not soo much

Awesome that you are enjoying it and playing, but a decent amount of people are not, so if they want to talk some trash, they are entitled to as that is their opinion, just as you say you love it, they can say the hate it if they currently do. So just ignore them if it bothers you is my only real advice.

Besides, I am sure once everyone can play and there are no issues, everyone will love the game just fine.

And good tip about those leftover Beta files, I definitely uninstalled it from Steam, but did not see if it left over any files.

      You can't, if you didn't notice, it doesn't support surround at all, it's right in the spec list.

      Hi — I’m always interested in soundcards. Like displays, I just want to know I’m getting as much clean “sonic juice” into my brain as possible as the years take their toll. I’m not entirely sure what to take away from this review, though. It doesn’t really tell me whether the AE‑X is a good product or who it’s actually for. Most of what I’m getting is: there’s a driver to install, here’s what it looks like, and here’s what’s in the box. There’s a lot of emphasis on the SPDIF input. When you mention not needing to switch headphones between console and PC — does that mean the PC has to be powered on just to pass audio through? That seems like a fairly big waste of energy. Is this more something a streamer would use alongside a capture card? How are you testing the sound? (Also, you might want to clarify that you’re using the headphones in wired mode when you mention they’re wireless.) You mention the lack of EMI shielding — how much real‑world difference does that make compared with typical motherboard audio? On multi‑channel: what exactly isn’t supported? Does this mean Windows spatial audio (Dolby Atmos for Headphones, DTS Headphone:X, etc.) won’t work, or just that the card itself doesn’t decode surround formats? And are there any true multi‑driver “surround” headphones left that would even use that? You also highlight support for high‑impedance headphones — but what does that translate to in practice?
