With the expected nerfing of the M60 (and I do agree it is way overpowered). I?ve started using the other classes, and quickly found my replacements. All of them being XM8 variants. Seriously awesome gun. My favourite one being XM8 Compact (others being the XM8 Project and LMG), simple because it is silenced and I can rape enemies from any direction within 10 feet and they haven?t got a clue until I am tea bagging them :shiftyninja:

Anyone noticed, that adding the red dot sight or the x4 sight seems to make your gun recoil a little more? Only mention this, because I?ve just unlocked red dot sight for the engineer class, and the sight is bouncing way more than normal. I may just stick to standard sights and load some other perk instead

Yeah we waited and now were off. Dude you missed the funniest and funnest gaming session in recent memory! Even though I was half asleep most of the time the amount of crap we got up to was insane! Lets just say it involved using mines to catapult Munky out of the map etc... Seriously have not had so much fun and laughs in a very long time :D

Yeah sorry man, I had all intentions of coming home and playing with you guys, but then I partied a bit to hard with my friends and had to sober up.

Haven't used the red dot sight a lot, so I can't speak to that, but I do notice that the 4x scope recoils quite a bit for me. I just figured it was a consequence of the magnification (movements of the gun that would seem small in the iron sights seem more severe at 4x). I thought about sticking to the iron sights at first, but I really like the 4x scope on maps like Atacama Desert, where snipers are lurking everywhere. Plus, it's a lot easier to spot enemies with the scope (for me, at least). I've been getting a lot of spot assists lately...

I finally unlocked the M16A2, but I think I actually like the AN-94 better. The M16A2 worked well enough on Atacama Desert, where I could safely chip away at an opponent's health without them seeing me, but on smaller maps like White Pass, I was getting a little frustrated at the lack of power. I guess I'm just a sucker for firepower. :)

I thought SP was decent tbf but so much of it was a shameless rip-off of MW/MW2.

I don't think so, so far. I think it's worse. I hate the fact that when you zoom, it remains at zoom until you click the zoom button again. The guns look like crap and the people look like crap too. :p Not really bashing the game though, I hope multi-player fairs better because that's what I loved about BF:2 and BF:2142. I also liked the beta multi-player.

I am running this on a Intel Core i7 920, 6GB of DDR3 RAM, and a BFG nVidia GTX 280 OC2, with all the settings on high.

played a little bit earlier, kept getting disconnected a few times and the servers were really laggy today... this is PC version. anyone else get this?

it may be because people haven't updated their servers to the new version though...

hah thanks for that. dont you feel bothered sniping from one place?

when i am playing sniper i cant sit for 1 second :p i always keep rushing places.

Nope, I have my favourite spots and tend to use them religiously. Although, I have found that there are some excellent central spots.

On Panama Canal map, if you go next to the warehouse in the centre of the map, there's a burned out truck with flames licking the end of it. I often crouch there and get loads of headshots as people are too focused on the flag rather than looking in the corners.

Oh and always snipe within viewing distance of the UAV machine. Reliable and easy headshots :D

x4 scope is to be expected, and something that I can handle. But the red dot bounces like a pair of ######. Useless perk!

Only bought it up because on the XM8 Compact + Red Dot is just horrible to use. A little better with x4 sight.

Started playing the singleplayer and I am not that into it. :/ There is just something about the singleplayer that is really not allowing me to like it, not sure what though.

SP is crap. Really boring.
I've been trying for a few days now to get the Flag Defense Pin. I get up to 3 almost every time and fail. Its really ****ing me off. It is the last pin I need and it dosent look like I will be able to get it. Highly frustrating.
Stop playing for awards/stats. And you will have much more fun, I promise you!

    • Microsoft confirms Windows 11 26H2 to finally get one of the most requested features by Sayan Sen This past week Microsoft officially confirmed Windows 11 version 26H2 with the latest build, 26300.8697, for testing in the experimental Insider channel. The company also published more details about it mainly directed towards IT admins and system admins. Essentially version 26H2 will be delivered via an enablement package (eKB) over Windows 11 25H2. If you are wondering about some of the upcoming features in the next Windows version, one of them is certainly very interesting as Microsoft has confirmed it is finally bringing one of the most overwhelmingly requested features ever. March Rogers, the Partner Director of Design at Microsoft, recently highlighted some of the Search improvements that the company is testing, and during the interaction with users on X where he posted it, Rogers also confirmed that the company is working on disabling web search results inside Search. This is something which many users find quite annoying as Windows would often serve them links to Bing which it feels could be more helpful rather than bringing up the actual object or app the user may be searching for on their PC. Finally though the company is prioritizing local file search over the web. However the feature could not be disabled for many users as not all new features are immediately rolled out to everyone. Image via phantomofearth (X) Windows enthusiast phantomofearth who likes to dig deep into new builds uncovered the IDs you will need to enable these features. Using the following feature IDs the new Search-related features landing in Windows 11 26H2 can be used. Follow the steps below to enable the new Search experience on Windows 11 build 26300.8697: Download ViveTool from GitHub and unpack the files in a convenient and easy-to-find folder. Press Win + X and select Terminal (Admin). Switch Windows Terminal to the Command Prompt profile with the Ctrl + Shift + 2 shortcut or by clicking the arrow-down button at the top of the window. Navigate to the folder containing the ViveTool files with the CD command. For example, if you have placed ViveTool in C:\Vive, type CD C:\Vive. Type vivetool /enable /id: and press Enter. Restart your computer. If you change your mind and want to restore, repeat the steps above and replace /enable with /disable in the commands on steps 5 and 6. Delightedly and perhaps also expectedly, once you disable web search and other such bloat, the Windows 11 Search is said to get snappier as remarked by another Windows enthusiast Xeno.
