Rush? Never heard of that. The only game types I've played are "Get sniped in 10 seconds", "Get sniped in 4 seconds", and "I'm camping at your spawn point".

Find some friends and play with them then. I've found, on the PC, snipers can't hit **** if you're running hell to leather between cover.

Hit detection is defintely broke here. Playing on my regular server last night, creeped up to a baddie and plugged 4-5 shots directly into his head (no way I missed) with an M60 too. Nothing happened. The cursor didn't even flash. And this happened consistently last night. One of my favourite guns (XM8 Compact) was reduced to a beating stick.

Oh yeah hit detection has been off for weeks. More so recently than before. It improves if you restart the server every night but I've had 40mm under-slung shotgun rounds not kill someone at point blank. Or nades land next to someone foot and not see a damage marker.

@Killmaster

I said I was done for the night and I guess my game felt it too because it crashed as soon as that match ended.

Anyways, horrible games for me tonight. I have the worst luck with spawning and then pretty much eating a grenade to face every time. Some might consider that good luck I guess...depending on how you look at it.

Good idea, I'll get them to restart the server tonight and see what happens with tonights session.

MW1 is a better game than MW2. Why it's still held in high regard by some I have no idea.

Different strokes for different folks really doesn't seem to fit the bill this time around. Same goes for GoW1 > GoW2 imo.

For me:

COD2 > MW2 > MW1 > WaW > COD3

GOW2 > GOW1

however....

Resistance 1 > Resistance 2

PGR 2 > PGR 3 > PGR 4

So, I am pretty flexible when it comes to sequels.

just unlocked gustav....lol what easy gadget.

gusatv: so much spalsh damage, downward trajectory, **** against tanks. best anti-infantry gun(if you can call it that..)

rpg: have to hit person, bit better long range, pretty good against tanks.

finished medic and assault going through engie now...i really dont like sniping...i might just leave recon alone...

trag3dy maybe in here whistle.gif

A lot of that was from yesterday.

I was having some bad bad luck. All those sniper shots you got on me...yeah...I pretty much just spawned there. And then wham, dead. Depending on how you look at it I have really good luck at finding peoples bullets/rockets/grenades just after I spawn. It's a skill that's easy to learn yet takes years to master..

And I'll be on later tonight, we should try to get into some games together if anyone is interested.

Send me a pm, or jump in my vent when you want to play. Just playing LoL right now with some friends.

you two gotta stop going in full servers, when i see you guys and wanna join servers always full... imma try your vent server tonight to see if you are on later on (prolly midnight'ish your time)

@AWBrian: COD2 was easily the best one...

I'm thinking about getting this, but I'm very reluctant to dish out the 50 dollars (after having bought GOW3 and FFXIII over the last month). Is this game worth the purchase? I have been looking for a good, well-paced multiplayer centric game for a while now. :p

yes

    • Waymo recalls self-driving software after cars enter closed freeway work zones by Paul Hill Waymo, the self-driving car maker owned by Alphabet – the parent company of Google –, has recalled some of its fifth-generation Automated Driving Systems (ADS). It did so after some of its cars drove through closed construction zones. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the affected vehicles were capable of driving through a closed freeway construction zone and continuing to drive at speed. The listing on the NHTSA website says that Waymo is currently developing a solution to fix this issue, but in the meantime, freeway driving is being restricted. Waymo will update its ADS software so that vehicles can detect when they can avoid entering construction zones. According to the Safety Recall Report, on April 20, 2026, Waymo’s Field Safety Committee began meetings reviewing an event from April 11, 2026, and five events from April 19, 2026, where Waymo’s autonomous vehicles didn’t recognize and drove past ramp closure signs into the pre-planned freeway construction zones. This took place in Phoenix, Arizona. Separately, on May 18, 2026, seven Waymo vehicles entered freeway lanes with active construction in the San Francisco Bay Area by driving between cones that were placed to show the lane was closed. On the back of both of these events, Waymo restricted freeway driving until it could address the issue. In June, Waymo’s Safety Board reviewed the issue and additional information related to ADS performances around construction zones; then, as a result, it decided to conduct a recall. This development is not good for Waymo as it adds to a growing list of technical hiccups its cars have experienced. Ultimately, it will lead to more scrutiny from lawmakers around the world who will be more cautious about letting autonomous vehicles on their roads without tighter regulation. For readers in areas where Waymo operates, does this news make you more wary about stepping into one of these vehicles?
    • I'm still on Windows 10 22H2 because I didn't want to deal with all the issues in Windows 11, so I waited almost a week before installing the latest Patch Tuesday update (KB5094127), I went ahead and did it, and it was a huge mistake—ever since then, my File Explorer has seen a performance drop of about 30% when transferring large files... Once again, Microsoft has outdone itself! This update cannot be uninstalled, either through the Control Panel (via Settings) or by accessing Advanced Startup Options. The only possible alternative would be to use system restore points, but I’d have to reinstall all app and driver updates (and there’s no guarantee it would work). Or there’s the “nuclear option” of a in-place repair without losing files or apps, but even then, all my customizations would be lost! Microsoft just can’t help but mess everything up! Way to go, Microsoft! But I still don’t want your c****y Windows 11!
