Never got bored with a BF game so fast....

Reached rank 26 and abandoned...(gave it to a friend)

I hope BF3 will be more interesting. One thing is sure if they make a crappy cross-plataform too ill skip it.

MW2 and BFBC2 were the first and LAST cross-plataform games i bought.

I love it when enemy Medics swarm around the bodies of their fallen comrades. It makes it easier to blow them to bits with my grenade launcher (plus explosive perk). :)

Anyway, how often do you guys try to use the grenade launcher on enemies far out in the distance? I do it and I usually get a kill. It almost scares me how accurate I am with it.

Seems a bit over dramatic...

I mean, what exactly would make it more interesting?

isn't the GOL the one hit kill? lol . M24 needs more skill :D. .. M24 ftw.

In hardcore all are one hit kill... The one that has a better chance in normal games for one hit kills is the M95.

yea, I don't see this game much less repetitive or boring as any other big multiplayer at there. Especially shooters.

Though perhaps the lack of gametypes and maps make the life span of this game a little shorter.

Absolutely agreed. Think it is an extremely valid point the game-play is no more repetitive than any other MP game out there.

So what I bolded in the post above is my biggest issue with the game and why it feels repetitive to me right now is one thing, and one thing only. The lack of maps.

I have shared it before in this thread, but I am just really into playing Conquest and that is it. I have indeed tried (at the urging of other members), and multiple times in fact, playing Rush mode, and while it is not awful, I just cannot get into playing it for several reasons.

So right now, lack of maps are killing it for me.

What is truly ironic, is with Battlefield 2, for a decent amount of when I played I would join a 24/7 Strike At Karkand server and played that map almost exclusively.

Actually, I checked my stats on Battletracker.com, and here is a pie chart breakdown of the 147 hours I played BF2.

BF2_Maps.JPG

That 28.6% accounts for 42:05:00 hours. I literally played that one map 42 hours, and never really got tired of it. Pretty crazy.

However, BC2 just does not have a Strike At Karkand to me yet. None of the maps are great like that map was (IMO obviously).

So the lack of maps, combined with the fact that there are no standout maps, really is making me lose interest sooner than later.

I still am into playing it, but I am not excited like I was back in the BF2 days. It could just be the fact I do not get to play now as much as I did back then, but honestly I would think this would mean I would look forward to playing even more than I did back then, and that is not the case.

And poking around the Battletracker Stats site, I saw these stats, completely confirming I am indeed a Tank ###### in case anyone ever thought I was kidding ...

I actually really like africa harbor. I don't think it's one of the best maps ever made, but one of the best in the game.

I find my self not being able to play a non hc server now.

HC is the way to go my friends.

Have to say I have yet to try HC mode yet. I just do not see it working for this game for me as I am just used to how it plays "normally," meaning ever since 1942 I have played it more or less at the "default" settings, but I will give it a whirl as it cannot hurt anything.

Have to say that I slightly agree!

Just curious with what? The hardcore mode comment?

I like it as well, probably because out of the BC2 maps, it is the one that reminds me most of a Karkand vibe.

I would have to say my least favorite map is Atacama Desert. Get rid of the copters and I would probably love it, but more and more I am finding all it takes is a really good copter pilot, and that map turns into a spawn camping at the base camp mess.

I have to say I agree with some of the points you guys brought up. Sure, the gameplay is repetitive but that's how it is with most online FPS games. More maps is what the game needs. I wish EA/DICE would release a mega map-pack with another 6 or 8 maps. As for the current maps, my favourite is Arica Harbor followed by Nelson Bay. I'm beginning to like hardcore mode a little more now that I'm playing Assault most of the time. It's so easy to improve your K/D ratio as Assault on a hardcore server.

On a side note, check out my stats: http://bfbcs.com/stats_pc/Anaron :p

I read a suggestion on some forum or another that they should import a lot of the BC1 maps. That would save them a lot of time creating maps from scratch. I think it's a good idea, it can't take that much work to update the maps.. just ask IW.

I also agree with the lack of maps being this games downfall for me right now. I'm fairly bored of all the maps. I can't count how many times I had to play Arica Harbor this last week, it seemed like every time I joined a server it was that map. Really annoying.

Tried playing the free MW2 weekend for a little variety...noob tubers are way more common in that game than BC2. And the maps are so much smaller it makes the problem about 100x worse. Overall, I'm not impressed. CoD4 was the best game of that series for me.

At least that map is better than playing Valparaíso on Rush. Sniper heaven.

Agreed that MW1 > BC2 > MW2. I hate the noobs in MW2, but I don't hate BC2....yet. :p

well, im not bored of it yet. i dont have long sit-ins though. i get maybe 5 games in every other day. yes more maps is desperately needed.

Panama Canal is my favorite map. I love playing engy here. Free Ace pin for me every time i come across it.

still havent touched squad rush/dm.

    • Microsoft confirms Windows 11 26H2, urges IT admins to prepare for release by Usama Jawad Windows 11 typically follows an annual update cycle, but Microsoft recently broke that tradition a bit by releasing a "26H1" version in the first half of this year as a "scoped" build for select new silicon PCs only. This version was not available for customers using 24H2 and 25H2 builds, as Microsoft is busy preparing version 26H2 for them, confirmed officially for the first time. In a Windows IT Pro blog, Microsoft has urged IT admins to prepare for the upcoming release of Windows 11 version 26H2. The company has confirmed that this will be a small enablement package (eKB) that will simply light up certain disabled features that are already present in the operating system's code base. This means that the "refined" Windows update and deployment experience will be simpler and quicker, with minimal disruptions, as the feature update will simply toggle a few flags rather than performing a complete replacement. Microsoft has explained that this is all possible because the standard Windows 11 releases share the same servicing branch and hence, the same source code. However, this also means that Windows 11 26H1 users won't be able to upgrade to 26H2 as that is a different branch, but this is something we have known for a while now. Similar to previous annual feature updates, Windows 11 26H2 will offer the following support cycles: 24 months of support for Home, Pro, Pro EDU, and Pro for Workstations editions 36 months of support for Enterprise, Education, IoT Enterprise, and Enterprise Multi-session editions Microsoft has not confirmed a concrete release date for Windows 11 26H2, but noted that it is "coming soon". If we go by the ongoing release cadence, we can expect it to begin rolling out in early October 2026. As such, IT admins have been encouraged to begin validating Windows Insider releases in the Experimental Channel, plan rollout rings, and strategize the utilization of their existing deployment tools.
    • Windows 11 gets new audio improvements in the latest builds by Taras Buria Today's Experimental builds (26H1 and Future Platforms, formerly Canary) pack several audio-related improvements. If your device is enrolled in the Experimental Channel (26H1), you can download build 28120.2315, while those in the Future Platforms version have build 29613.1000 to try. Here is what is new in build 29613.1000: [Audio] Following up on our previous improvements, we’re making some more adjustments to Settings > System > Sounds based on your feedback. Namely, we’ve updated the “All sound devices” page so: You now have the ability to change default devices from this page. Each of the devices displayed on this page now has a little volume meter next to it to show if there is audio actively playing. We’ve adjusted the page design slightly so now you can filter whether you’re viewing input or output devices. We’ve added toggles so you can choose if you want to hide or show disabled, disconnected, and unplugged devices on this page. We’ve also updated the input and output audio properties page for devices in Settings to now include jack information for those that need it. And here is the changelog for build 28120.2315: This update includes a small number of minor bug fixes and improvements. [Accessibility] This update improves caption style responsiveness by redrawing captions immediately for caption style changes. If no current caption is visible, a sample caption string is displayed. [Audio] This update improves the reliability of the inbox HD Audio driver. You can find the official release notes for build 28120.2315 here and for build 29613.1000 here.
