^lol they've always been pretty powerful. But it's kinda evened out if we consider the long reload time, absolutely no way to use explosives (apart from grenades) and no possibility to counter vehicles. Plus defib as the only gadget isn't too fun. :(

But then again, the most frightening thing in BC2 is a pack of medics rushing towards one. :D In my opinion at least.

if i see a medic and i usually ran away because most of them have an m60, i always try to pick them off from a long distance. but now they are good at that too :(

they ever going to fix that bug where you can snipe with a shotgun?

motion sensors + saiga = win..... if you want long range 12gauge is surprisingly good long range... not sure whether i should go for plat on saiga(5star) or 40mm(4star) or xmp pro(6star)....

also if your not worried about your k/d defib is insanely fun for gadget...running around aimlessly reviving, trying not to get shot :D

Sorry but medics are a plague. They need to be severely toned down.

Weren't CG spammers the plague of the month now? Or noobtubers? Or mortar spammers? Wait, what exactly is the plague now?

I don't completely agree with you, and not only because I'm one. :p The range could be reduced though and maybe the spread as well.

edit

increased spread*

also, no performance problems.

Oh you can, at least according to the bright minds at EA's BC2 forums. And tbh call me delusional/blind/stupid, but, taking all games in account, I don't think I get killed by one class more than the other. And let's say DICE nerfs medics into oblivion, I have a feeling a bunch of people will still rage about the next "OP" class...

But what made me a slight bit mad was a guy that kept using his CG in CQC yesterday. I love that weapon and do that myself occasionally in OH **** situations, but that tactic does feel a bit, dare I say it, noob (you damage yourself when using it like that...). At least I got his dogtags :D

Any one having problems logging in?

I just played for 2 hours and got to level 19 and unlocked a new sniper rifle and got 100 kills with a assault rifle.

I then got disconnected, tried to log back in but got a message saying there are no games available. I rebooted the PS3, but got the same message. I then noticed that I was still level 18 and wasn't credited with all the kills I got for the past 2 hours.

Anyone else have this issue tonight??

The patch is coming out today for xbox 360 and ps3 players only. Still no date for the PC patch though.

And about medics, the problem with them is that if you get more than 3 or 4 of them together they're almost impossible to defeat. Added onto that their weapons have far far more bullet capacity than any other class and it makes them frustrating to fight at the best, and impossible to fight at the worst.

People say the large ammo capacity in LMG's is balanced by the long reload times but I don't buy it. As a primary assault guy I have to reload 3 times before I can reach the amount of ammo (and killing potential) a medic has in just one of their magazines. That's around 5 seconds where the medic can be spraying away without worry of running out of ammo. Those 3 reloads I have to do just about assure that a medic will get you every time if you don't have the drop on them. But then come along his 3 other medic buddies....

In that sort of situation which is becoming more and more common it's worse than fighting a bunch of cg spamming engineers. Which the CG has far more down time than LMG's.

Personally, I think they should give medics the engineer weapons, or a different variety of assault rifles (without grenade launchers) and sub machine guns and create an entire new class for heavy weapons that would use LMGs and maybe have some sort of portable defense that can be set up. Oh yeah, and also increase the recharge time on the defib paddles.

Yeah I agree, when the attacking team is all medics it ruins rush (especially on nelson bay) theres just this giant medic revival orgy on the frontlines near the mcoms that becomes unstoppable. I think the main problem with medics is how strong the defib is, not the lmg. there is hardly any cooldown and revival is instantaneous. There should be a slightly longer cooldown and it should take like 2 seconds to defib someone IMO. Either that or there should be a limit on how many times someone can be revived and like in bf2 if you die by headshot or tank shell to the face you are unrevivable.

Well the LMG's give medics the idea that they're an offensive class when they should be more of a support class. It kind of makes the assault class redundant.

And oh man, just read a thread on the EA forums where some one suggested a double exp weekends for BC2. This isn't MW2...
