The only remarkable thing about that trailer was Trent Reznor and Karen O covering The Immigrant song. Other than that it's typical Hollywood trying to look cooler than we actually are bull****. I mean I'll drag my feet to this movie, but I don't see myself enjoying any other performance than Noomi Rapace's, for more than just the reason I found myself irresistibly attracted to her the entire film.

I read all three books and loved them. I haven't seen the Swedish movies, but I am very excited for this.

I'm generally not a big fan of watching foreign-language films... Having to read the subtitles takes away from being able to watch what's going on the whole time, and I like to give movies my full attention when watching. I'll probably watch the Swedish ones at some point though, just to see how they did it.

Well that would make this the firts movie in existence to have a truly "good" book to movie adaption.

and y good I don't mean that it will be the first adaption to have a good movie, but the first that will truly follow the book. since reality is that if you want a good movie you rarely can follow the book, and things need to be cut, or changed. they are different media and need to present stories differently.

So far I've only seen the first of the Swedish ones, and while it's a different story from the book in many ways, it's a good movie. could it have been better, maybe, IMO yes, if certain things had been closer to the book I believe so, BUT we don't know, maybe they didn't follow those parts of the books for a reason that I don't know and it wouldn't have been better.

What about Se7en, and (underrated) The Game? These are awesome imho. Not mentioning stuff like Zodiac, Curious Case of Benjamin Button or The Social Network.

The books are so-so, but hopefully this movie will bring the style Fincher is known for. I miss his days of Fight club and Se7en.

Oh I completely disagree. He is absolutely a master film maker in my eyes. Zodiac is easily one of the best films of the 00's in my opinion.
