BTW anyone interested in buying a 30" dell monitor? I have it listed on eBay and I am willing to lower the price for serious buyers

Great setup! What mouse is that?

I need a headset like that, but any recommendations of a cheaper one? :$

Time for new photos. Changed monitors, mouse pad and build a new computer too.

If there too much visible noise, it's because compressing. Did it in hurry and might have used bit too much.

What monitor is that?

Thanks, I really want to pick one of these up.. They look sweet. How's the quality?

For the picture quality, well, it's TN panel, what can I say. It's good for a TN panel, but it still is a TN panel. Bad viewing angles, limited colors without dynamic correction, no good blacks etc. If you are getting the monitor, make sure that you can sit exactly front of the monitor, because there is no adjustable stand to correct the angle.

The backlight is pretty good. It doesn't have noticeable leak, but ofcourse when the screen is black, it isn't showing up as solid black. But that's the issue in almost every monitor.

The build quality is good. The plastic plate at the backside feels kinda solid, like that it isn't going to break or anything. Same goes to the feet/stand that is attached to the back. The monitor's not heavy either, so there isn't even that much weight on the stand anyway.

On the other hand, the black frame at the top front feels bit placticy and hollow. If you put pressure to the frame/edge it will make the placticy sound from hell. The front bottom where the buttons are on other hand isn't as bad. The bottom is thougher and doesn't make any plasticy sound when using the touch buttons. The touch buttons at the front feel good, atleast to me. Respond well, and the buttons look really nice as there is no physical buttons that collect dust.

If I had to say the most annoying thing in the packaging/monitors, I would have to say the plastic protection skin that the monitors were wrapped in to protect it during transportation. It just collected so much static electricity and I got so many shocks when taking it off. I should have used a protection.

Overall, the monitors are good for a TN panel and price.

the mouse is a MX1100

I can't really recommend you a headphone, I only had 2 pairs of headsets. But i've read reviews in which the HD515 is best bang for buck

Just got a new apt and setup my room, almost done, missing media stand with 55" LED TV on the wall above the Receiver. Also havent set up the last 2 surround speakers just yet.

<images snipped>

Nice and clean set up (Y) What kind of speakers are your front channels?

$878 for a pair? That's expensive as hell.I bought me a set for 80 bucks at frys like last year and if i turn them up half way they rock my house lol

$878 is cheep for a good pair of floor standing speakers lol.

In fact, for a decent pair of floor standing I wouldn't expect to pay less then $1500.

Actually, i got them for half price, I know someone who gets a good discount on electronics ^_^, so they were cheap and OMG do they rock, I played Counter Strike on them the other day and the neighbors though i was using a real gun. Rockband sounds fantastic on them and so do HD movies...I never want to goto work again and leave them alone lol.

    • VidCoder 12.20 by Razvan Serea VidCoder is a DVD/Blu-ray ripping and video transcoding application for Windows. It uses HandBrake as its encoding engine. Calling directly into the HandBrake library gives it a more rich UI than the official HandBrake Windows GUI. VidCoder can rip DVDs but does not defeat the CSS encryption found in most commercial DVDs. You’ll need the NET 8 Desktop Runtime. If you don’t have it, VidCoder will prompt you to download and install it. The Portable version is self-contained and does not require any .NET Runtime to be installed. You do not need to install HandBrake for VidCoder to work. Feature list: Multi-threaded MP4, MKV containers Completely integrated encoding pipeline: everything is in one process and no huge intermediate temporary files H.264, H.265, MPEG-4, MPEG-2, VP8, Theora video Hardware-accelerated encoding with AMD VCE, Nvidia NVENC and Intel QuickSync AAC, MP3, Vorbis, AC3, FLAC audio encoding and AAC/AC3/MP3/DTS/DTS-HD passthrough Target bitrate, size or quality for video 2-pass encoding Decomb, detelecine, deinterlace, rotate, reflect, chroma smooth, colorspace filters Powerful batch encoding with simultaneous encodes Customizable Pickers to automatically pick audio and subtitle tracks, destination, titles and more Instant source previews Creates small encoded preview clips Pause, resume encoding VidCoder 12.20 changes: Updated HandBrake core to 1.11.2. • Too soon, I'm still not over this death!
    • Normally, I admit when a title is clickbait (unfortunately, it's become somewhat necessary to compete against AI-dominated news sections today), but in this case, all supported versions is implied and doesn't need to be spelled out in the title. Of course, I'm covering a Patch Tuesday update bug that is only available to supported Windows SKUs. All our coverage relates to supported Windows software and SKUs only unless we expressly state that it's "unsupported", "unofficial", or "third-party". I'm sorry, but supported/official SKUs don't need to be spelled out as such in every Neowin headline.
    • ALL versions or ALL SUPPORTED versions? Neowin does it again.
