I thought this was just some western fps, Ive been wondering what all the hubub was about. Clicked this thread by accident, thought id watch the trailer, am I right in saying this is more of an action/adventure game sorta fall out 3 western style probably with less rpg elements though?

Any idea on how long the single player campaign lasts?

It's gta in a western setting. Awesome game. :)

finally got this today, and i have to say it's fricken amazing. the physics are damn amazing, massive improvement from gta iv.

my friend is over now so im not playing any missions, just screwing around and it's just great. :D

ps3 version by the way, graphics are incredible.

Been playing again today and Im doing really well I think. I am trying to capture Mo Vem Barr or something to get my Deadly Assassin Outfit *from the Limited Edition only* and been doin the sharpshooter, hunter and skinning challenges. I freakin love this game, and as mentioned above, I came across the first in the few random encounters.

I have set the whole day tomorrow to play, and play I will be.

so yeah I was rescuing this stranger's wagon, returned it to him and he said thanks, this wagon is my life. While he was getting on his wagon, I called my horse. My horse arrives, knocks the wagon over and crushes him. at least I think it crushed him.. I'm still hearing voices of screaming inside the capsized wagon. I think he's trying to get out.

people actually play the mp?

if the mp is anything like gta iv's, the only time i'll play it is just to see what it's like then that's it.

The free roam is amazing and it's fun to see the server start to take sides in a fight. I only did one match of team deathmatch and havn't tried again. Having to much fun with free roam.

lol. i've had no issues with multiplayer. popped onto it for 15 mins and it worked flawlessly. ps3 version.

This cannot be true as PSN is free and Live offers a vastly superior paid for online experience.....

Being realistic though I've not tried multi player on this yet so can only go on what I've read and most say it's both 360 and PS3 which have issues.

Anyone got any tips for horse shoes? I am absolutely terrible at it and just cannot figure it out.

Off to bed, I basically spent the last 90 minutes getting nothing at all accomplished story wise at all and just wasting my time on the side stuff, and loved every minute of it.

My wife is gonna kill me tomorrow when she hears I stayed up until 3AM, but I am literally forcing myself to go to bed, as I want to keep playing. Truly a testament to how good of a game it actually is.

Yeah, its the only thing i still need to do, to get that outfit. And i just can't seem to pull it off

I've had a few issues with MP, PS3, getting dropped connections and at one point I had to quit the game as no menus loaded and I couldn't do a dame thing!

Must admit though MP is good, especially team games.

Free roam I can't comment only seen 2 other players in the session I joined, need to check my ports are forwarded corrextly

I've had some issues with multi on xbox. For example when you join a posse and it asks you if you want to spawn on posse leader seems completely broken. It either spawns me on a random spot on the map wicked far away from all my posse or a couple times it just sat at a black screen and I had to restart my xbox.

So I had a couple minutes to check out shoes real quick. Managed to get a ringer and the associated achievement on my 4th time throwing.

Just line up the pin with the two middle fingers on your throwing hand. Pull back (down) once, and hit RT just before the first (bottom) line on the meter. The follow-through of the throw should put you in the green area to either get a ringer, or some points. I think its just random though, as I could not do it again after that one time. But who knows, maybe I just got lucky and found that sweet spot in the meter.

I ending up winning the game, but only bet $1. Should have bet more

this is one of those games which i turn off just because it is SO good and i dont want to spoil myself too much. i'm absolutely loving this game, it's one of the only games ive played recently where ive found the story easy to follow and not only that, enjoyable to follow as well.

ive seen quite a few bugs here and there, one where my character was bucked off the horse and started sprinting in a random direction and wouldnt stop untill i set up camp lol. another where i quick travelled from camp to mcfarlens ranch and all the textures were screwed up and i couldnt move, just stand there and holster/unholster my weapon, had to load a save. to be honest bugs are expected in a game of this size, and its not put me off the game one bit.

this game certainly deserves those great reviews it got. definitely gunna plat this bad boy!

Wow I can tell I am going to love this game. Initially I was a bit put off by the dialogue but after one or two cut scenes it was already growing on me. I'm only 40 minutes into the game and I love the atmosphere, the music, and the randomness! Just galloping down a path and helping a stranger is pretty cool.

My only two annoyances so far:

1. Even though I've installed the game to the hard drive, the 360 still seems to be running full blast.

2. I wish the horse would walk backward by just tilting the left stick backwards instead of having to turn him all the way around (waiting for the camera) and then go in that direction (if that makes any sense).

if you go into the options, and change controls from 'horse relative' to 'camera relative' (I think something like that) it may fix what you're talking about...

    • First time clicking on a Sayan Sen article after he started making clickbait, vague headlines recently. Didn't read, just came here to say the headline doesn't look like very cheap, vague clickbait this time. Are you okay?
    • Good review, and yeah the benchmark breakdown is pretty clear but also a little messy in a good way. It’s kinda interesting to see where the RX 9070 GRE slides in between the 7800 XT and the 9070 XT , especially when it comes to AI tasks and Blender style workloads. The side by side with Nvidia’s RTX 5070 and 4070 makes it feel obvious just how competitive the mid range GPU scene has gotten lately, and that’s great for creators and gamers too since you can pick based on your priorities rather than only chasing one single thing.
    • That's it. I finally uninstalled Firefox because they often keep pushing buggy updates, only to test them later and make users suffer. No longer is it my alternative browser to Edge. What a waste of energy. Firefox is bad for the environment, just like Chrome (wasting RAM/energy).

Users report that this month's security updates for Windows 11 cause all sorts of issues, including BitLocker bugs, OneDrive issues, black screens of death, and third-party integration in Office apps. Microsoft has not confirmed those yet, but it acknowledged other issues with its operating system. What Microsoft has confirmed is a bug where Recycle Bin delete prompts display internal file names instead of actual ones, and a year-old Windows JScript compatibility bug caused by security-focused engine changes. This week, Microsoft announced its newest Surface devices powered by Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon X2 processors. There is the 12th-gen Surface Pro and the 8th-gen Surface Laptop. Both devices feature little to no visual differences compared to their predecessors from 2024, and most changes hide inside, including a better processor, faster graphics, enhanced NPUs, and more. The Surface Laptop also received a new haptic trackpad. Reviews are in Here is the hardware and software we reviewed this week Earlier this week, we reviewed the DuRoBo Krono, a portable, phone-sized e-reader with some interesting physical controls. This device has an Apple Watch-like dial for page turning, frontlight adjustment, and more. Software is simple and no-nonsense, but it also lacks some useful features and customization. Overall, the device proved interesting, but not flawless. On the gaming side Learn about upcoming game releases, Xbox rumors, new hardware, software updates, freebies, deals, discounts, and more. Forza Horizon 6 received two big updates this week. Alongside the Series 2 content update, developers pushed plenty of bug fixes and balancing tweaks.
