[Official] Red Dead Redemption

Recommended Posts

Just out of curiosity, did anyone see the short film that came on last night on Fox that was made from Red Dead Redemption? I can say that anyone that hasn't played the game, will not have a freaking clue what's going on from that. It seems like they tried to cram hours of cut scenes and story information into 20-30mins. I'm in Blackwater now, so I haven't finished the game yet, but even after playing the part where the short film takes place in makes no sense, and I know what happens. This is pretty bad.

I saw it, and you are right. The short film just mashed together randomly cut scenes from the game, from the first bit upto Mexico, and even then it made no sense to me.

If your going to play the game, do yourself a favour, and don't see that short film.

Just make another post :) Should return to normal 1337!

What was that about? Did my account get hacked or something? I ended up changing my password and some other things unsure.gif

Ok so I'm really getting frusterated. I'm only on Sharpshooter level 2 and I've done almost all the missions leading up to attacking Fort Mercer. For some reason, I never see rabbits anywhere! I've tried slowly going around on a horse, walking in the wilderness etc, all to no avail. All the rest of my challenges are at least level four, yet still seeing no rabbits.

Any advice?

 I find them everywhere... I've even accidentally run over 3 or 4 with my horse while travelling around (*splat*). I could only advise to look from north of Armadillo to West of Blackwater for them as that is where I seem to find them most. Of course it is always the case that you can't find something when you want it. ;)

My friend laughs at me all the time because he says the same thing. Up until earlier today, I had trouble even finding armadillo even after going to the areas listed on this map. RDRed_Animals_Map_2.jpg

This is getting really screwy now, I loaded up my game today and find that not only has the gentlemans attire gone but I also have now lost the assassins outfit even though it is listed in DLC ... WTF is going on?

I swear to god whatever hunting challenge you are on it spawns less of that animal. I can usually find armadillos all the time, but when I needed to kill some It took me like half an hour to find any lol.

Ha ha ha, if you say it then I don't feel as bad because it is always the exact same for me.

For those of you losing your outfits, save in a safehouse. When it comes back from saving, your outfit should reappear.

I only ever save in a safehouse, I just use the camps for fast travel :(

Grrrr, why did nobody tell me about the cougars at Rio Bravo *shakes fist* I'm dawdling about, picking up Red Sage for a Stranger then MEOW outta frickin' nowhere, a cougar up the bum :( Killed my horse and robbed my pride :(

now that the FEAR is in you.. you can now approach the lands with caution.

Speaking of cougars giving it up the butt....

Speaking of cougars giving it up the butt....

that is just pro.. the Male doesn't even have to move.

Its the rattlesnakes I hate!

Well I think my horse died to one, I was chasing after another horse to break when all of a sudden my horse fell to the ground dead

I stepped on a Rattlesnake and it bit me. I stood back up and took a double barrel shotgun to it face and skinned it.

Yay got my legend of the west outfit today :)

nice. its a shame its very similar to the duster jacket one, i was hoping for something more fancy!

the master hunter challenges were the most annoying for that one, freaking skunks and armadillos never appear when you need them to!

    • Microsoft confirms Windows 11 26H2 to finally get one of the most requested features by Sayan Sen This past week Microsoft officially confirmed Windows 11 version 26H2 with the latest build, 26300.8697, for testing in the experimental Insider channel. The company also published more details about it mainly directed towards IT admins and system admins. Essentially version 26H2 will be delivered via an enablement package (eKB) over Windows 11 25H2. If you are wondering about some of the upcoming features in the next Windows version, one of them is certainly very interesting as Microsoft has confirmed it is finally bringing one of the most overwhelmingly requested features ever. March Rogers, the Partner Director of Design at Microsoft, recently highlighted some of the Search improvements that the company is testing, and during the interaction with users on X where he posted it, Rogers also confirmed that the company is working on disabling web search results inside Search. This is something which many users find quite annoying as Windows would often serve them links to Bing which it feels could be more helpful rather than bringing up the actual object or app the user may be searching for on their PC. Finally though the company is prioritizing local file search over the web. However the feature could not be disabled for many users as not all new features are immediately rolled out to everyone. Image via phantomofearth (X) Windows enthusiast phantomofearth who likes to dig deep into new builds uncovered the IDs you will need to enable these features. Using the following feature IDs the new Search-related features landing in Windows 11 26H2 can be used. Follow the steps below to enable the new Search experience on Windows 11 build 26300.8697: Download ViveTool from GitHub and unpack the files in a convenient and easy-to-find folder. Press Win + X and select Terminal (Admin). Switch Windows Terminal to the Command Prompt profile with the Ctrl + Shift + 2 shortcut or by clicking the arrow-down button at the top of the window. Navigate to the folder containing the ViveTool files with the CD command. For example, if you have placed ViveTool in C:\Vive, type CD C:\Vive. Type vivetool /enable /id: and press Enter. Restart your computer. If you change your mind and want to restore, repeat the steps above and replace /enable with /disable in the commands on steps 5 and 6. Delightedly and perhaps also expectedly, once you disable web search and other such bloat, the Windows 11 Search is said to get snappier as remarked by another Windows enthusiast Xeno.
