Im going to get mine off Play.com. ?390

Edit! Bloody Gypos play.com they have put the price up 30quid in the last day! Google Shopping showed it was ?390

Get one off eBay, I got mine brand new and sealed in the box for around ?300. At the time that was ?80 cheaper than buying one directly from Three.

Theres one on eBay for 339 and it says Brand New. I want Brand New but for some reason I dont trust the price!

Sounds about the right price, a little bit high tbh.

I sold my 'as new but used' HTC Desire on ebay for £300.

Although I guess Amazon is more hassle free, as if it were to be faulty, you wouldn't have to return it to HTC.

Where do you even get unlocked ones. Even if you buy them PAYG they're still locked to the network usually.

Amazon?

I will look at getting one from there. Maybe eBay but I don't like the thought of using eBay :/

Current contract is up in November so I'll probably wait till September/October time before getting mine. At least Amazon will have (probably) dropped their price and have more in stock!

I'm not sure whether to go back to the official ROM or not. I'm really happy with a mix of OpenDesire 3.0.1 and LauncherPro and not really missing Sense UI.

Is there anything in this new release worth upgrading for?

720p video recording, full flash 10.1 support, apps2sd, 400% speed increase, improved javascript engine/browser, HTC caller id (shows Facebook info when someone calls you) and various other bits :)

He's got all of that bar one anyway.

The only addition which you missed and he may need is iTunes sync.

    • My problem with FF is I have to jump through hoops to get at least somewhat close to what Vivaldi gives me out of the box, with no real advantage that would make it worth my while. (But hey, apparently there's now at least experimental support for HDR in FF. I mean it's about a decade too late, but still...finally!) Brave I was never the least interested in, never saw the point, not to mention there's been quite a bit of drama surrounding them over the years. But I've been a faithful and very happy Opera user all the way back to 2001(ish), so once Vivaldi showed up following that awkward period of time after the key people left Opera and the company was sold, I never really looked back. And they never once made me question my choices.
    • Need to dust it again dangit, come on McDonalds, do your thing !?
    • I see it has more memory, more storage, a better CPU, and a stylus, as you said. Might be a good alternative. I see some refurbished for $150-200. I'm not scared of refurnbished, as a lot of parts in my house are refurbished/used. All are working atm.
    • "TeamViewer is the fast, simple and friendly solution for remote access over the Internet" Regarding the "friendly" description, has is stopped unceremoniusly booting your session after a couple of minutes accusing you of using it in a commercial environment?!
