exactly

Seems weird that FOUR french police officers NONE of them speak English. I went to Paris for 5 days last year and everybody spoke SOME amount of English.

Damn right they spoke English. You're right, everyone in Paris, at least, speaks English. Once you get out of Paris to the rest of France, it breaks down a bit. It wasn't that they couldn't speak English, it's that they didn't. Deliberately :(

LOL oh man this is awesome :p I hope we can make this a new neowin meme.

We could try, but we are limited to those who visit the digital camera lab... We should make a post in general discussion introducing THE moonman and his powers so the world gets to know him :shiftyninja:

Man that sucks, It can't get worse when police are out to get you deliberately just because :/

Yup. I'm not a fan of Parisians :/

Well I kinda meant a meme just in the digital camera lab.

Parisians like to screw with people who don't speak french. They do it for fun, but it's not funny to those of us in a foreign country unable to communicate with people!

Epic thread?

Sorry to derail this thread back onto topic, but I have an Opus OT-1018BH. It's pretty much the lightest one I could buy easily that does that height. I need the light weight because I use it on hikes and bike rides where I already pack quite heavily, and any weight reduction is good. Plus, it packs damned small compared to its counter parts. Due to the low weight, it obviously won't hold up in strong winds, and using a remote is still recommended for sensitive night shots. But overall, I really love it.

Hmm, it seems that it is a Canadian company... So although it's a great bargain at $50 CDN, I guess it's cold for all your foreign people, lol. I can't find a non-Canadian spot to buy it.

Regardless, here is a link to one of Canada's largest photography chains that sometimes has it on stock.

I have a cheap 50$ from best buy. Yes it does what it needs but really not so steady over long exposures. I just bought a Manfrotto and it is much better. I tried long exposure of the moon using both and the Manfrotto is a bit better at handling the winds. Plus it easier to maneuver and adjust.

    • In what way is any of what I said incorrect? To install an update you need to close all browser instances, upping it from once a month to once a fortnight is an inconvenience for users. Particularly when updates don't offer functionality that users want (notably copilot). Security updates should come as they are needed, not on a release schedule
    • Dopamine 3.0.6 by Razvan Serea Dopamine is an awesome free audio player which tries to make organizing and listening to music as simple and pretty as possible. Dopamine has been designed for Windows 7, Windows 8.x and Windows 10 and plays mp3, ogg vorbis, flac, wma and m4a/aac music formats quite well. The best part? This maintenance-focused release includes bug fixes, updated translations, and a range of safe enhancements. It also adds new cleaners (including a DNS cache cleaner, Claude Code, and Visual Studio Code forks), support for multiple Chrome and Edge profiles, new deep scan options for developer directories like node_modules and venv, and safer, faster file shredding. All Platforms Added cleaners for Claude Code, DNS cache, and many Visual Studio Code forks. Added support for multiple Chrome and Edge profiles. Chrome can now clean downloaded AI models. Deep Scan can optionally remove venv, __pycache__, node_modules, and .angular directories. Deep Scan is faster by skipping directories on the keep list. File shredding is safer, faster, and leaves fewer recoverable traces. Improved handling of cookies, symlinks, Unicode filenames, external processes, and configuration files. Improved Expert Mode warnings and long warning dialogs. Fixed crashes related to cleaner detection, invalid Unicode, and malformed cleaner data. Clipboard is now cleared automatically after shredding files via paste operations. Linux Added AppImage support. Added cleaners for Visual Studio Code, Codeium, Librewolf (.deb), Transmission (Flatpak), and Profanity. Improved Linux trash detection, including Snap-installed applications and mounted drives. Fixed startup crashes when Python Requests is unavailable. Windows Fixed a security vulnerability that could allow arbitrary file deletion when cleaning with elevated privileges. Added %WindowsSystem% variable support. Improved clipboard clearing using native Windows APIs. Improved installer experience on unsupported Windows versions.
