Oh wow those set photos are off the hook! so crazy!! This movie is looking insannnne! ..they better not be doing cgi costumes too.

I don't want to see a fourth. They derailed the **** out of it. Only good part would be to see Ian McKellen again. He's awesome.

Thanks mccord, haven't changed it in probably 4 years! :pinch:

Little is known about the plot and premise of "X-Men: First Class" beyond the initial pitch of Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr joined together in the earliest days of their friendship. But some new set photos are giving us a clearer sense of what's going down in the forthcoming "X-Men" prequel.

Comic Book Movie has some new photos from the set of director Matthew Vaughn's "X-Men: First Class," which has already shot portions of the film in England. These latest photos come from a recent shoot on Jekyll Island in Georgia, and unlike previous set photos, these latest images potentially hold some key spoilers for Fox's mutant movie.

As you can see, it appears that a jet has crashed on a sandy beach due to unknown circumstances. But a close look at the color of the fallen aircraft as well as the cockpit seems to indicate that the jet is actually the Blackbird, the preferred mode of aerial transportation for Professor X and his team of mutant heroes.

It appears that a large portion of the aircraft will be created in post-production, based on the large green cylindrical object just above the broken apart cockpit. That piece of the Blackbird ? if that is indeed what we're looking at ? will most likely be rendered with computer effects after shooting wraps.

As for the actual location of the scene, some early speculation pegs the sequence at Muir Island, Scotland, where Xavier and occasional lover Moira MacTaggart conduct research and experiments in an effort to better understand the mutant gene.

Plot Released!

X-Men: First Class charts the epic beginning of the X-Men saga, and reveals a secret history of famous global events. Before mutants had revealed themselves to the world, and before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Not archenemies, they were instead at first the closest of friends, working together with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to stop Armageddon. In the process, a grave rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto?s Brotherhood and Professor X?s X-Men.

Via his Facebook page, Joe Cuzan who I assume is working on the movie judging by the following pictures, has posted a pile of images taken from the Georgia set of X-Men: First Class. Included in these are a close up look at the remains of the Blackbird, what appears to be Matthew Vaughn (notice the guy in the cap and sunglasses just below the aircrafts door in the first picture) and a storyboard of a character that might just be Riptide involved in some sort of fight scene.

According to The Daily Blam 20th Century Fox has screened the first trailer for X-Men: First Class, and one of their writers has written up a description of what was shown. So far there is no confirmation as to whether this is the real deal, but they say the ?trailer should be released to general audiences within the next four to six weeks? so we?ll soon find out.

Potential trailer spoilers below:

- The trailer opens with the 20th Century Fox logo which pans up as the two spotlight beams cross and form a white ?X? on the left of the screen. A white circle goes around the ?X? forming the X-Men logo, as Magneto?s helmet comes up on the right.

- Patrick Stewart and Ian Mckellan voice over the opening lines about destiny and which side will you stand for as scenes of each in their previous X-Men movie roles flash until the entire screen flashes from white to black.

- A very young Xavier and Erik meet for the first time, followed by a different angle of the scene from the opening of X-Men in the concentration camp.

- Camera pans outside of an old castle-style building that greatly resembles the X-mansion. McAvoy and Fassbender are seen walking through the halls. The words ?One wanted peace? flash by Xavier.

- Scene transitions to Erik yelling dramatically as metal tables in the room begin to float around him. Xavier and Mags shake hands with a tall man in a lab coat introduced as Dr. McCoy.

- The words ?The other was too far gone? flash as a very ****ed off Erik storms through a hallway killing guards as he passes them.

sounds awesome! :woot:

X-Men-First-Class-Cast-shot.jpeg-550x202.jpg

Here’s the first small image of the assembled cast for Matthew Vaughn‘s X-Men: First Class. Left to right, we see: Michael Fassbender as Magneto, Rose Byrne as Moira MacTaggert, January Jones as Emma Frost, Jason Flemyng as Azazel, Nicholas Hoult as Beast, Lucas Till as Havoc, Zoe Kravitz as Angel Salvadore, Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique, and James McAvoy as Charles Xavier.

I expect that we’ll see a better version of this image later today — I’d initially held off posting this one because it looks like an early, not quite finished look. And, frankly, I’m a bit disappointed in how this looks. It’s a lot more modern than I’d expected, but perhaps a high-res version will showcase the small costume details in a better way. What about you — is this what you expected to see from the ’60s-set X-Men prequel?

Hm... I'm rather surprised to see Angel... I kind of figured if it wasn't going to be about the true "first class", they wouldn't include characters that made their debuts in other X-Movies...

Aside from that, Mystique has an awful big forehead...

I dunno. The pic of the plane accident was interesting, but I'm not sure that I'm that excited about this film... I really hope it turns out better than I'm expecting though.

X-Men: First Class is shooting now, and the first set photos have shown up online. They show January Jones in character as Emma Frost

That outfit is just terrible even for a comic book character. No one in their right mind would wear that let alone a beautiful villain. They should fire the costume designer.

    • Same Internet Archive seemed to grab the new version https://web.archive.org/web/20...d/Setup_MakeMKV_v1.18.4.exe Here's the link to an additional file it periodically downloads https://web.archive.org/web/20260213092148/https://www.makemkv.com/sdf.bin I think update's keys, etc. To manually trigger this update, put the sdf.bin file in the root of where the program is installed. When you launch the program it will pick up the file and import it. Typically put it here: C:\Program Files (x86)\MakeMKV\sdf.bin
    • Windows 11 KB5094126, KB5093998 bugging out Office apps but it may not be Microsoft's fault by Sayan Sen Microsoft last week released Windows 11 KB5094126 and KB5093998 as the latest Patch Tuesday updates. Following that the company also published the accompanying dynamic updates under KB5094149, KB5095971, and KB5094156. Although the tech giant did not acknowledge any major problems, some users online reported various issues ranging from OneDrive and Dropbox access problems, BitLocker recovery lockouts, to blue screens and BSODs. You can read about them in this dedicated piece. While there is still no confirmation about those problems from Microsoft the company has admitted to another bug which we did not report on. The tech giant has confirmed it has received reports of an issue in which certain third-party applications may be unable to launch Microsoft Office apps or open Office documents after installing the Patch Tuesday. This affects both Windows 11 as well as Windows 10. The company says the problem impacts a subset of applications that rely on OLE (Object Linking and Embedding) automation to communicate with Microsoft Office programs. According to Microsoft, affected scenarios involve third-party software attempting to open Office applications or documents from within their own interface. In such cases, the Office program may fail to launch altogether, or the requested document may not open. Oddly there may not be any error message, which probably makes the issue difficult to diagnose. The bug affects several Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and other apps in the Microsoft Office suite when they are launched through the affected software. These include tax and accounting software such as CCH Engagement and Workpaper Manager, dental practice management solutions like Dentrix and Softdent, as well as the popular research and reference management tool Zotero. Microsoft adds that other applications using similar Office integration methods could also experience the same problematic behavior. To understand the issue it is important to look at OLE, the Microsoft technology involved. OLE allows different applications to work together and share data, while its Automation feature lets one program control another. Thus this enables third-party software to launch Microsoft Office apps, open documents, and perform tasks automatically without requiring users to switch between programs. Because many accounting, healthcare, research, and business applications rely on OLE automation to interact with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other Office apps, any disruption can break those workflows. As a result, affected software may be unable to open Office documents or launch Office applications even though the programs themselves continue to work normally. At the moment the company has not provided a permanent fix though it has confirmed that engineers are actively working on a resolution, which will be delivered through a future Windows update. As such additional details will be shared once more information becomes available. In the meantime, Microsoft recommends a simple workaround for affected users whic is to open the Office application or document directly rather than launching it through the third-party program. For enterprise customers and organizations managing larger deployments, Microsoft says an additional mitigation is available. Admins experiencing the problem on their managed devices are advised to contact Microsoft Support for business to obtain and apply the workaround.
