But to be honest, on paper, we actually do IMO. They're just being put in bad positions and therefore play badly.

Do you think England has a better squad than Argentina? Or Brasil? Lets be honest, I hate Argentina (the football team I mean, don't get me wrong, I have nothing against the country or anything of course) but they have the best attacking squad of the WC and maybe the most balanced team.

 I'm going to think of that as a dig against us for the Falklands War.

Not if you've been watching the same one I have :p

Seriously, he's one of the best strikers/forwards etc in the world game, and he's done nothing, absolutely nothing so far.

Tonights game should have been Crouch and Defoe from the start.

yeah its weird. if anything it should be rooney and crouch to start. Everyone on england today had a weak game. Even my boy gerrard wasn't up to par to what he can normally do. He wasn't really trying, not completing passes and i hate to say it, not really playing like a captain should be.

Yup, no one was trying. My better half, who doesn't even like football that much, but has sat and watched the England games withe me (as well as a few others) even picks up on that. Basically, there is no heart in the England team. No drive, no will. It's almost like they're phoning it in.

all lampard does is iget in gerrard's way.

Very true. There needs to be a major overhaul with the **** england squad. All these different managers but we seem to still be playing the same failing squad as 5 years ago.

Huge changes needed.

both players are amazing, but the problem is they are pretty much the same players and two of the exact same type of players very rarely match well. I think the problem is that they play beside eachother. I think capello should do a diamon formation in the mid.

*gerrard

*lennon *dafoe

*lampard

or something like that

I don't claim to be a huge soccer fan but I do watch the World Cup intently and try to keep up on Premier and Champion league. It looks to me, in both the US and Algeria matches, that England isn't even creating chances for Rooney. I think he's getting frustrated because he's making runs and putting himself in front but nobody is looking for him. Heskey has tried on a few occasions but that's about it.

England can still come out of group but damn they need to pick it up and play with a purpose. The US plays the same way. It's not until they get down a goal that they start to enforce the action. Frustrating.

I agree about Rooney. For me, (the expert non international manger that I am ;) ) he can only sit there up front and do nothing for so long, and for me, he's hit that point.

He shouldn't start the next game.

And damn, I only wish England could play with the same passion and determination as the USA did today (unlucky as they were).

I'd drop Rooney as well, tactics or not, ?he just isn't doing anything. ?Throw him on the bench, then throw him onto the pitch, that will kick start something.

World Cup 2010: Fan gets into England dressing room

Rooney blasts booing England fans

The Football Association has made a complaint to World Cup organisers Fifa after a fan breached security and entered the England dressing room.

The incident came after England's 0-0 draw with Algeria in Group C at the Cape Town Stadium.

The intruder was escorted out shortly after a "few verbals" but the incident has angered the security-conscious FA.

"This is not acceptable and thankfully no serious harm was done," read an FA statement on Friday evening.

Princes William and Harry, who have been on a tour of southern Africa, were in attendance in Cape Town and had been present in the dressing room after the match.

However, both members of the Royal family had left the dressing room by the time of the security breach.

"There is a lot of Fifa security in the stadium but unfortunately one fan got through all of that and managed to get into the dressing room after the game but thankfully no real harm other than a few verbals," said Adrian Bevington, managing director of Club England.

England's poor performance in this year's world cup just proves David Beckham has been England's best footballer in this decade. He was by far better than the over-hyped Lampard and Gerrard. Quarter-final exits in 2002, 2004 and 2006 don't seem so bad now, do they?
