Game looks stunning but the music in this game is complete and utter trash - Sounds like something that'd come out of a Fisher Price toy.

One thing that chokes me up a little is not being able to play my own music in-game. I realize that this is an age-old discussion, but racing games are really the one type of game where I love having the ability to play my own stuff while in-game. Especially considering most racing game soundtracks only have a very small amount of songs that I like (or sometimes even no songs that I like).

That video of the Photo Travel mode looks interesting, though. I imagine that people with some working knowledge on photography are going to enjoy that. Personally, it was a little too much information for my feeble brain to process. I need a preset that says "Make picture look good" :p .

You can play your own music in GT5 :p

So from the Car Service menu I would assume that means we can't do much with the non-premium cars.

Though in case I missed it, do we know if we can import our GT5P Saves for extra money or cars etc?

Can import cars from GT5P and GTPSP for use in Arcade mode I believe.

That is the best gaming news I've heard all month. That might make me sound like a bit of a dork, but I love playing my own stuff in racing games. Thanks for the heads up :).

And damn, that shot of the Mercedes AMG in the city is gorgeous. That one on the track in the sunlight is nice too (though I'm a sucker for bright, sunny gaming environments).

Is the best place to pre-order the regular version of the game Play.com ? There are two free DLC cars if you pre-order with them.. can't see any such incentives with the other main retailers.

Cheers.

Is anyone else having trouble trying to order it from Blockbuster? It keeps getting the verification stage (where your bank asks you for certain letters of your password), it's entered correctly, it's processing, then every time, I get this message:

Sorry, we were unable to take payment from your card.

If the problem persists, please contact customer services on the number provided quoting reference number DM100.

I've already rang them up, and they said they'll call me back. That was about a quarter of an hour ago. If they fail to get back to me, I'll have to go with ShopTo then. I've still got my pre-order with Jack of All Games at the moment, but I'm having second thoughts about them.

Collectors Edition, just can't afford the Sig Edition just now :(

Managed to order it with Blockbuster now, so I'm definitely getting it now. :)

I'm tempted to buy the Logitech Driving Force GT later on. The cheapest (new) place I've seen it is at Game and Amazon for ?79.99 (if I get it soon though, I'll go with Amazon, as I'm currently on the Prime free trial, so free next day delivery! :) ). Anyone know a cheaper place to get it (don't mind it second-hand)? That's the main thing putting me off so far; the price. The next thing is I don't have a proper place to clamp it down to while playing; just a workbench. :p

looks awesome... so how do we upload the pics? Does GT5 have a server or something?

They export to the XMB.

Videos automatically upload to youtube, but the online part of GT5 isn't enabled yet.

    • The current Statcoungter desktop numbers has Google Chrome increasing it's market share this past year and currently commanding 75% share. Everybody else is just making up the numbers with even MS Edge losing 3% this past year and has dipped just below 10% share which is staggering considering it's default on every Windows deviced purchased. If these numbers are correct that terrible Edge number is both devastating and embarrassing for MS especially when you add in the terribly low Bing market share. This leads me to ask a couple of questions as the default browser holding just less than 10% market share seems really weird. It used to be that all Chromium browsers were being counted as Google Chrome in some cases.  Is this still happening? Do these high Google Chrome numbers contains some Edge user numbers?
    • Yeah, all web browsers seem to have some junk in them these days. The regular Brave browser has a lot of unnecessary stuff in it, similar to Microsoft Edge, so I don't see any benefits of using Brave over Microsoft Edge if you already have Microsoft Edge fully set up with adblockers and that. The cleanest or best free browser outside of 'Microsoft Edge' I’ve tried so far is 'Opera Air'. It still has some bloat, but nowhere near as much as Brave browser, for example. I also really like the web browser called 'Floorp' that is based on Firefox. I have a system wide Adblocking program for Windows 11 that doesn't just blocks ads in the the web browser, but over the whole thing. I don't really need a web browser with an inbuilt adblocker because of that.
