So we moan at you for posting huge pics and not thumbnails, but now we get smaller pics but with no full huge version, pah, can't get it right AB. :p

looks awesome... so how do we upload the pics? Does GT5 have a server or something?

I would assume it just saves them to the XMB in a folder, which you then just stick on a pen drive or something.

But maybe it does have a server side to it so you can pull them on a computer.

XMB = cross media bar, aka the PS3 menu system. It uploads it to the photo section which you can copy to an ext device.

Yeah, I am aware of that. I guess I asked my question wrong. Could I go to the PS3 browser, go to say, Picasa Web or Photobucket, and upload pictures from the PS3 photo folder?

Hmm, not sure about uploading through the browser itself, but according to the 3.40 release notes, you can upload from the photos section to Facebook, and Picasa Web Albums.

I <3 you man! That is what I need to know! Thanks!

I'm sorry, but **** me sideways, that looks like a REAL LFA. w00t.gif

Yup, I just tested what Might Jordan mentioned about the Photo App. I just did a test. Using the XMB, I browsed my medialink server connection and imported a file to the PS3. It was 4000x2248, and it imported to the PS3 no problem and went into it's own photo folder. I opened the Photo Gallery app (first time!..it's pretty slick), and sure enough, the picture imported right into the app. The toolbar had an upload icon. Clicked on that, and you could choose Picasa Web (which is where I store all my photos...sweet as hell) or Facebook. I chose Facebook and it imported right up, and at the full size.

Expect some seriously large images to be posted. I think we will need a dedicated official GT5 photo mode/video thread.

Managed to order it with Blockbuster now, so I'm definitely getting it now. :)

I'm tempted to buy the Logitech Driving Force GT later on. The cheapest (new) place I've seen it is at Game and Amazon for ?79.99 (if I get it soon though, I'll go with Amazon, as I'm currently on the Prime free trial, so free next day delivery! :) ). Anyone know a cheaper place to get it (don't mind it second-hand)? That's the main thing putting me off so far; the price. The next thing is I don't have a proper place to clamp it down to while playing; just a workbench. :p

I've got a ?10 off ?50 spend code you can have if you wish :)

Ooh! :D Which site, GAME or Amazon? Either way, I'll happily take that off your hands! :p Provided it doesn't expire so soon, as I need to wait a couple of days before I have enough money for it.

Looks like I am in the market now for a wheel for my PS3 :(. My Fanatec just took a dump, and no warranty. Perfect timing realmad.gif Luckily I got mine free through a contest, otherwise I would be even more ****ed (it's a beta wheel actually).

I couldn't drive to save my life with the PS3 controller. Looks like that is how I will be racing next week, as the wife won't approve a new wheel before Thanksgiving shopping weekend :(

It's for Game, will PM you it once at a pc on phone at moment.

Definately going to need its own thread, I forsee people going wild with pictures, so containing it to one place and not the official topic would be much better.

So, how many people have booked the day off work? I really hope my copy turns up a day early like all my other GAME pre-orders

I've pre-ordered in store with Game, hopefully might get a call before to go pick it up, otherwise I have a half day booked for the Wednesday :)

    • Does anyone here know if these updates are integrated into the UUP dump isos?

    • NVIDIA officially supports Ubuntu, as linked above with the GeForce NOW Hands on I did in collaboration with Paul Hill.
    • TO be clear I am not running linux today, however I keep thinking about it. And I want to make sure there are minimal obstacles if I decide to make that switch in the coming months.
    • Yes, I actually glossed over the Linux part from the OP. You could always go for a 9070 XT and if you really want to play Ray Traced games in the future, GeForce Now is pretty damn good on Linux https://www.neowin.net/news/nvidias-native-geforce-now-app-for-linux-bridges-the-gaming-gap-hands-on/
