There are 189 songs in total in Soundtrack Library of the game, including glorious selection of Classic music, but there is no "Moon Over the Castle" to be found anywhere. It will be a shame if it does not appear later (maybe after Ending Credits or something, only time will tell - since fan-editing of the intro-movie pretty strongly implied that it is edited for MOTC).

Also, this is plain cool

Cars Love Gran Turismo 5 Too!

If you thought the first Japanese TV commercial for Gran Turismo 5 - the one with the toy cars - was fun, it's more fun when the toys are swapped out for dozens of real cars.

I lost count of the number of different cars I saw in this ad, but suffice to say, it's a lot. Nowhere near as many as will be in the game, true, but for a single stretch of Japanese motorway it still an impressive tally.

Gran Turismo 5 will be out next week, which is a sentence that feels good to be typing out.

Got my pre-order in with Best Buy - managed to snag the standard edition of the game for ?29.99 delivered! :)

Same here! (Thanks, AB!) :) The 10% off code didn't work for me, but I don't care; it's still the cheapest deal! :D

I just need to ring up Blockbuster and cancel my order. Unfortunately, I'm currently in college, and I'm here until 6pm. Same story tomorrow. Hopefully, they'll let me use the reception desk phone at lunchtime. :p

I got my order in quite early but never noticed the 10% deal until after I'd placed the order. DOH :)

Nevermind.. still the best deal I've seen so not complaining!

The deal lasted longer than I expected! It looks like it came to attention at around 8am this morning, and I didn't read about it until about half 9 this morning in college. Still, I got my order in, so I'm not complaining. :p

It's gone back to ?29.99 on their website, but says it's sold out - http://www.bestbuyentertainment.co.uk/games/platforms/ps3/gran-turismo-5-gt5/10042564.html

Me and Pheee got it for ?26.99 rofl.gif

Watch this GT5 review as it unfolds:

Definately going to need its own thread, I forsee people going wild with pictures, so containing it to one place and not the official topic would be much better.

Does anyone in specific want to start the official photo/video thread? I would be happy to if nobody else is interested.

I want a wheel (with chair and all that) but don't have enought space or energy to fight to make space for it with my wife. :( I wanted a chair eversince gt3.

Just do what I did (or something similar)

Can all be put away before "she" gets home

Still working on that whole setup, will look a lot better once finished. Been a while since I actually did any work on it though. Attention span of a brick :(

After reading more of that review, I am tempted to postpone my order to see if any of the concerns change. Hmmmm..

Edit: Since my Fanatec is broke, and the budget doesn't afford a new one, I will just get a G27 instead. No postpone needed.

I couldn't be bothered upgrading to the collectors edition (currently pre-ordered the standard edition) because it was too much effort to change it (required to call them up and cancel my current pre-order) yeah I'm that lazy :p however, EB Games are giving people who ordered the standard edition of the game, the 6 stealth cars that come with the sig edition....now I'm not so bothered about being stuck with the standard edition now :p

Being honest my view on wheels is that unless you have a dedicated games room then they take up too much room to be used all the time unfortunately.

You are 100% correct. I bought my wheel and tried it on a folding table, useless. I bought a Play-seat. It folds up pretty good and doesn't take up much space. It makes a world of difference but does cost some coin.

Amazon had free shipping on it.

    • I can answer about the Linux bit. I only used AMD GPUs. I currently have a 9060XT (8GB) that fits my needs, I'm not a gamer, so I don't need that much GDDR. But lately, NVIDIA has grown a lot in the recent years. Oh, the horrors of NVIDIA drivers not working. But they have been getting better. I know a lot of members onm here that are running cachyOS and other distros, and are fine with a 4090/5090 variants. Really, though, I would stick with AMD variants.
